Marketing - Advertise your property through a number of channels including newspaper, internet, rental listings, signs and banners. Showings- Set up appointments and meet perspective tenants Monday through Friday 9-5pm, and occasionally weekends.
Leasing- Immediate notification when a tenant plans to vacate the property, thorough tenant screening including credit, employment, and criminal background, before and after pictures for each move in, set up and sign leases.Rent Collection- Collect the rent and put it in a non-interest bearing trust account.

Very unprofessional in person and on the phone. We went from being 3rd on the list to 7th in a matter of two days, for a rental we were interested in, even with great credit and offering more for the rental , per month. It didn't do any good to argue as they can't remember there own lies. Walk away....rather, run away from JR Homes. You'll be happy you did.

This is the worst company, realty aside. I have never been treated so rudely, so condescending, so unprofessional. We found a rental that we liked very much. We were even willing to offer 200 dollars above asking price, due to the lack of housing in our burned out community (Paradise, California). In fact, my fiance was actually a victim of the Paradise fire. Getting a home was paramount. So we made an offer above asking price and they did not even tell the homeowner at all. Would honestly give zero stars if I could. extremely rude and never willing to work with you and could never in a million years have a proper adult conversation without yelling at you and treating you very poorly. They don’t care about their properties they don’t care about the people living in them and I just got hung up on for asking a genuine question and I was never rude. they do not care about anything and they will take it advantage of you. I do not recommend this company to rent with for students especially, or anyone else for that manner. the receptionist and manager are very rude, they basically cussed me out today and said very rude things to me for continously checking the status of my application every other day. They are very poorly managed and do not care about respecting others, and get frustrated easily even when I was very respectful and apologized repeatedly for "offending" them for my persistence. I tried contacting this business several times (in person, email and via phone). After arranging a meeting, the manager failed to show up. I then tried to call to see if the miscommunication was on my part. Was met with a busy tone. I finally tried to send a email to reach out and then waited over a week for some sort of follow up and still heard nothing. If you can, rent from someone who is reliable, because if this is any indication of how they are as management I wouldn't want anything to do with them.

If I could give JR Homes a 0 star review I would. They are terrible, Jeff (property manager) could care less about the property or it’s tenants. We lived in one of their properties and they refused to fix anything! Luckily we finally moved out but the unit was infested with rats and black mold. I did report them to code enforcement to the issues will be handled accordingly. Please for your own well-being rent from someone else. Jeff even had the nerve to blame us for the black mold and rats even though we notified them several times about the progressing issues and yet they still never took action

I lived in one of their properties for years and it was an absolute nightmare! Aside from the black mold and rat infestation, Jeff refused to address and concerns, one of the neighbors moved out a month after moving in because they refused to give them faucet knobs and just told the tenant to use pliers and " you get what you pay for". I had to call code enforcement several times while living there and then again after moving out to ensure they addressed the black mold and rats. Very rude about fixing things at the apartment. They replaced the fridge in the apartment, but it leaks and the freezer door gets stuck. Whenever I bring up any maintenance complaints Jeff says "Well in the end if you don't like the place you don't have to live here." JR Homes just took over the management for the apartment I've lived in for years and I have never experienced management more terrible than JR Homes!

I lived at a home Jeff manages for three and a half years. It was a great experience. I have not one complaint. I can't say enough positive things about my time living there. Jeff was always great to deal with and always understanding. Any maintenance issues that came up were handled promptly and thoroughly. The staff in his office were always friendly and easy to deal with. If I ever move back to Chico I will contact Jeff first. If I ever invest in property in the Chico area I will contact Jeff to manage it.

Stay away from this place!!!I called their office to inquire about a lease take over posted on Craigslist for a dumpy 1 bedroom apartment. The receptionist was short,rude,and denied me access to see the apartment. I let her know I would still like to apply and how to go about it. She informed me to come to the office and then literally hung up on me after saying thank you to her. Put off but still interested as I needed an apartment immediately, I went right to the office. They obviously didn't want anything to do with me when I went to pick an application at their office. I asked one of the front desk lady about renting out a studio apartment that they posted on Craigslist, and she rudely just told me to fill out the application. She didn't ask me what address it was, or even told me the current status if someone had already put in their deposit for the studio. She never looked at me, and didn't say anything after that. Glad I didn't rent from them.

Horrible. Dirty, run down houses, very strict on partying on their houses in the streets. Most of their houses are in bad areas of town. At the end of my lease my house got broken into after roomates and I locked up, JR homes showed the house to prospective buyers and left our back door unlocked, allowing robbers to walk right in. Lost everything, horrible experience from a terrible company. One nice office lady works there, the other is rude and unehelpful, Jeff who runs the place is completely lazy, unhelpful, and unresponsive.

Move in was horrible. Nothing had been cleaned. When I was trying to explain that nothing had been cleaned they made me speak in front of the cleaning lady. I took 90+ pictures and 3 videos and received a week off rent because they agreed with me that nothing had been cleaned. The front loader washer machines have mold in the rubber sealing. They came and threw in some cleaning tablets and used the cleaning setting to try and remove the mold...didn't work. Nothing more has been done. Their idea of making the laundry room door more secure is to place a block of wood in front of where the lock goes

Moved in on a lease take over pretty quickly so the carpet had not been cleaned, although it was not what I would call dirty but they took money off the price of deposit when I asked. My experience with them has always more above and beyond a professional level, always friendly and welling to help with all our needs as a renter. Currently still renting from JR Homes, will continue to rent from them. lt's been a great renting experience.

I wish I could give this company zero stars for this review. When we dropped our applications off we were told by Jeff, from the name of JR Homes, that we were #2 on the list. We called him numerous times over the weeks to verify our standing and were told that some other people were going to be shown the unit. We were skipped in line, even though JR Homes told us it was a first come first serve basis; so they don't even follow their own rules.
