Orkidz Preschool believes that children need stability, continuity, and predictability in their lives. The primary goal of our program was found in the belief that children are active participants in their learning process. They learn through their own experiences with trials and error, repetition, imitation, and play.

Services
In response to the growing demand for childcare in the community, Sunflowers Home Daycare relocated to Broadway Terrace to double their previous capacity. Sunflowers Home Daycare had been given ten consecutive 5-star reviews by our outstanding community of parents and guardians on Yelp. In the spring of 2019, a new school was added to Sunflowers Daycare Inc. Orkidz Preschool is licensed for fifty-two children and is located in Albany, CA.
Broadening your child's horizon is the key for us via our learning activities and approach: helping all children develop through the use of play-based and child-led curriculums. We realize children have a natural desire to learn and our goal is to assist each child at his or her level.
As teachers, we see the need to be available, responsive, and willing to provide the tools needed, centered on the children's interest, enabling creativity and growth.We believe growth has no gaps, and children are always learning. We will provide a cheerful and positive atmosphere, thus helping the adults of tomorrow to get as close to their capacity where they may live productive lives.

Childcare needs to be a safe, nurturing place where real learning and exploration can happen. Children should be allowed to make messes, to make mistakes, and find their voice knowing it will be valued. It should be a place where a child can feel free to shine or merely observe and where inclusivity and differences are celebrated.
Sunflowers Home daycare is located in the Upper Rockridge neighborhood, off-Broadway Terrace. Our plentiful setting allows us to tend to each child's individual needs while also offering the benefits of a large daycare such as outdoor activities, field trips to Fairyland, parks, and libraries, daily circle time, arts and crafts, Cooking, yoga, and music immersion.
Sibling Policy: The second child in the same program will receive a relevant sibling policy discount. Extra one hour of care is available upon request based on $400/month (Half Hour, $200/month). Our contracts would be year-round based on our school calendar. Please see our enrolment packet. Families should come and leave based on their schedule to avoid early drop-off or late pick up fees.

Orckids Preschool just opened in May of 2019. This brand new school won't disappoint. The inside of the school has a warm and inviting feeling. The multiple classrooms are set up in a very developmentally appropriate way, allowing for open ended learning.The large outside play area allows for hours of exciting outdoor play time/ outdoor education.
