The food is out of this world. It is great. I had a house salad, roast beef with gravy and mashed potatoes. They make their own deserts and I am going to have to go down the list as I go there. The service was superb. The restaurant was very clean and cozy. They have the cleanest men's room I have ever seen. You better get there before the 18th because they close then for the winter.

First time in 4 years I've had great seafood in the mountains. Yellow Fin Tuna was grilled perfectly. It was my first having dinner, but I've had their desserts many times. Truly a great restaurant where the owners cook and bake an around selection of food that is quality and not boiled in a bag...
Definitely a repeat customer!!!

I am ready for ANOTHER birthday!! Just turned 83 and my wife took me to lunch at Suba's on Sunday!!! Our first time visiting this lovely place. It was... WONDERFUL!! Very classy place for our little Mountain City, Tennessee. I have lived and traveled across the glob and eaten in some find restaurants all across the globe... Europe, Far East, Middle East and across the United States. This place was as nice as any I have visited.
Huge menu, great selection of dishes, relaxed atmosphere, wonderful chef/owners... everything you could ask for.
We love it!!! A most memorable birthday

This place was highly recommend and the expectations not only were met but exceeded!!! Very friendly and attentive staff. Can’t stress enough, make sure to save room for dessert even if you don’t usually eat dessert!!! I ordered the popular chicken rancho and husband got country fried steak. Both came with two sides. We both got side salad that came on cold plates with crisp salad and homemade dressings (thousand island & blue cheese). Sending side for both of us was mashed potatoes. Again real and homemade delicious! Plus I couldn’t resist the steamed asparagus cooked perfectly and seasoned

Me and the girlfriend had a great meal here I got the buffalo chicken sub which was great. She got the Alfredo which she enjoyed very much the portion for the price ratio was a little small but at the same time I don't like a lot to eat for lunch. Other staff were fast and friendly it's a nice place.

Stopped in on our way back home to PA. This was one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long while. Perhaps even before Covid even happened. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They were very smart about keeping everyone safe and separated. The food was out of this world. Started with the portabella fries, then the sesame tuna (AMAZING!!!! Must get!!!) and finally, the cookie dough chess pie. I never had chess pie before and it is a game changer!! I couldn't be happier with our dining experience!!!

Me-bacon cheeseburger. Wife-blackened blue cheeseburger. Both w/ fries. Perfect in every way! Caramel brownie cheesecake, OMG! Hope I live long enough to try the whole menu!
Dessert case a joy to behold.
One of those rare places where everything that comes by the table, you're thinking, "Hm I wish I'd ordered that!" 3 cheers to owners & staff.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yum. Yum. Yum. The restaurant is small so plan ahead and call to be sure you can be seated. The portions are perfect and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Appetizer: Shrimp Scampi - 4 large, deveined shrimp, on 4 toast points with garlic butter and diced tomatoes. Very tasty! Salads with homemade ranch. Entrees: Filet with Portobellos - the Parmesan cream sauce was perfectly balanced and not overpowering. The steak was beautifully tender and the mushrooms were an excellent addition. Fettuccini Alfredo for the side and the plate was complete! My husband had

Second visit to Suba's and it did NOT disappoint. Party of 6 and everyone enjoyed their meals and especially the desserts. Wide variety menu and haven't heard of anyone in two times I've been you got something they didn't enjoy. Entrees include one side and soup and are $17-29. The desserts are a must even if you have to take it home to eat. Would recommend if you are visiting anywhere in the mountain city, tn or Boone, NC area. Be sure to check their hours before you go. Enjoy!

If you find yourself in Mountain City TN then you should check this place out if for no reason other than the drool at the dessert cooler. Suba's was recommended by a guy who cut my hair in Boone. He said the prices were a little high as did a local shop owner, but I found them very reasonable. I guess it's what you are used to paying.
Precious got the sourdough grilled burger which was flat out good. Next time I'm there I guarantee one of us will order it.
BE SURE TO MAKE A RESERVATION EVEN FOR LUNCH!

Everyone wants to go to a place like Cheers, "where everybody knows your name". Suba's is that place for us. Every time we walk in, the owner greets us with a smile and a hug, and we settle in for what we know will be an amazing experience.
The dining area is small and intimate, and is conducive to relaxation and conversation. The wait staff know us by name, and remember our favorite dishes (my favorites are Scallops Piccata and Blackened Tuna). The salad dressings, desserts, and croutons are all made in-house, and you can taste the difference. If nothing else, come here for dessert

Just ate here upon reading the reviews. I would not return. The food was just okay. I had the shrimp scallops and trout cake. I'm a shrimp lover and theirs had very little flavor. We had a party of ten and the waitress was not attentive. She reached over three people to hand out a dish and didn't clean up the table after soup and salad. The bread and butter took forever to come out. I guess they didn't want to have to offer seconds. There were too many issues for a good review but the most important was the lack a a great meal especially when the prices are not cheap. We never
