The onion soup was great at the beginning, so I had high expectations. I feel bad for giving a low rating, but I think they only had one server and a ton of people from the slopes. The service was slow and we went without drinks or food for a long time. The food was not good. Our group of four was very disappointed in the quality. You pay more and don't get an adequate amount of food. The rice and chicken were over cooked. The bathroom had a huge hole in the wall and there was a constant beeping. Overall, we left dissatisfied as the business seems to have been struck by covid & not having

Amazing food. They have this dish called the Lau (hot pot) that was unreal delicious. My wife and I finished the entire bowl. It was so good. Atmosphere was low lit and charming, and the sake’ was the warmest.

This was the best meal I’ve had in years. Every single piece of it was stellar… the ginger tea, bang mi, lo mein, hot & sour soup, vermicelli noodles. Everything was outstanding!

We got stuck during a winter storm and the only place open was Cam Rahn Bay. Not only were they hospitable, the food is fantastic and Nancy and family just go above and beyond. Can't thank them enough for their wonderful dining experiences while we were stranded in NC for a couple of days.

The best in town. Awesome food, excellent service and nice atmosphere. Sake was fantastic. The Hot pot was perfect and Thai Ice Tea was excellent. Sampler plate was everyone’s favorite. Our waiter was too friendly and helpful. She gave us an out-of-menu item for our 3 year old and also helped us with clarifying our questions. Strongly recommended.

I had the bun thit nuang chow git (B2) with pork and it was absolutely delicious! Love how they add a chopped up spring roll. The hot sake also hit the spot. Would have been 5 stars but the wonton soup missed the mark as the wonton was completely separate from the protein and seemed more like pieces of pasta. Definitely looking forward to returning next time I'm in the area.

Loved the food, everything was great! Not only was the food awesome but our waiter Mary was extremely kind and helpful. She helped with questions about some items on the menu and even though we came in late we were allowed to stay past closing and finish our meal. She went above and beyond any service I've ever had from any waiter in the past. She chatted a small bit and kept drinks topped off and we didn't have to ask for anything. Excellent food and service!

Definitely worth a visit when visiting Banner Elk. Went twice on our 6 day stay. Every thing is so fresh! The pho is delicious. Not one complaint from my family, hibachi, noodle dishes, really good steamed vegetables...can't wait to return again and try their hot pot. Anne , our server is a doll!

Can i give less than one star. The service was horrible. Guessing one of the owners was our server which made it worse. Everything took forever to the point We just asked for our food to go. Ordered two apps got one and was told w they were out of the other when the first was delivered, not before. Food tasted like it came from a freezer. Didn't taste fresh or even remotely decent. On top of everything the server/ owner acted as though we were a burden to serve. Flat out RUDE!!!

The best authentic Asian cuisine I've had in ages. My husband spent time overseas and he said this place was the closest to what he had there in forever.

If we have the time, we make the drive from Marion to Banner Elk just to pick up food from here. It is always delicious and we are never disappointed. We've had Their vermicelli, rice plates, pho, papaya salad ( it isn't spicy so I just add my own peppers), vietnamese salads, egg rolls, and veggie stir fry.

5 star food hands down. However our service tonight wouldn’t make fast food quality experience. Not the last two times. The server is god awful. We asked the server to not bring food and appetizers at the same time. She did anyway. The server decided to not bring the sake because it was a 14 minute wait. Didn’t even ask or explain it. The server brought our meal ticket to us, I looked at it, and it said $42 and some change. I refused to pay it, and told her it should’ve been about double. She fixed it and then we paid and left. We will definitely be back, but will under no circumstance allow

We left this “restaurant” and it was a complete nightmare 👌🏼
Issues: -called off and on for a hour with no one answering, later was told by staff “they have it off the hook that they are too busy to answer”… -ordered sushi as a starter, then was told it wasn’t available, I was disappointed because that’s one of the main things that aided me in choosing this restaurant. Then five minutes later I saw two tables getting their order of sushi and was completely confused why I couldn’t get it but they were able to 👀 -we all had

The food was good and the service was fantastic! We were served by Nancy and she was an outstanding host! They had great recommendations, were able to alter my meal extra spicy, and provided chillies for extra heat if I wanted it. Others in my party had a lot of fun and were also racing about the sushi. This is a family owned location and has been here for over twenty years and now on their fourth generation.
10/10!

Been sitting an hr and 38 minutes still no food. Heaven forbid you ask the waitresses for anything, she’s snapped at multiple people including us. They aren’t even that busy. We quit coming over here a long time ago for this reason. There are better places....

Fantastic Vietnamese cuisine! We will drive 45 minutes here for a meal here any day. They have a huge variety of Asian cuisine including Japanese and Thai dishes but their specialty is definitely Vietnamese dishes.

My husband loves pho and the pho here is authentic and amazing. My favorite is the rice vermicelli noodles with spring roll and chicken. There's also a make your own Vietnamese spring roll platter which I 100% recommend getting to share!

Imagine my surprise to find a legit Vietnamese restaurant in Banner Elk, NC. I'm Vietnamese and from Southern California, where Little Saigon and Bolsa Vietnamese food is a "thing." Cookbooks are written on these restaurants.

Encouraged by positive reviews, we ordered the Chicken Pho and Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio. It was during the Covid pandemic, so we did takeout back to our vacation rental. The Chicken Pho was on point! Clear broth, good flavor, tender chicken and long, chewy noodles. The Bun Thi Nuong Cha Gio was even better! Perfect Vermicelli, charred meat, crispy pork egg rolls

Happy to have found a vegan-friendly spot up here!! Everything we got was good but I think the panko fried tofu was the best!

The summer rice paper rolls were yummy and fresh, and all the sauces that came with everything were unique and tasty.
Clearly makes vegan options made it easy to order confidently.

Ordered three rolls of sushi to go. All three rolls were in one large box, on their sides and laying next to each other. Whoever put the box into the bag must have tilted it on its side in the process, but I've got to wonder why they'd put 3 rolls of sushi in the same box in the first place.

Anyway, I went back in to ask for some wasabi and soy sauce because I didn't see any. The old dude who brought my order and took my money(and likely played frisbee golf with my box of sushi) gets upset because I ask for the wasabi and ginger I thought was missing. He gets annoyed because

Family lives in Linville area and Banner Elk offers good, nearby dining options so we find ourselves over this way frequently. During recent visit we ventured to Cam Rahn Bay on a mission to order their hot pot. Despite an expansive menu with a multitude of offerings, for some reason they don't really highlight these on the printed menu they give customers. However, hanging beside their front door entrance is a hand painted sign we had seen declaring "Ask about our Hot Pot" so that's exactly what we did!

We had four people and when we informed our waitress we wanted a hot

Quaint small town Japanese and Thai restaurant. In the context of location and it's surroundings, it is not bad. The restaurant itself is not modern or upscale. The seats are quite uncomfortable. There were few other patrons on a Saturday night at 830. Quality of food was ok for the level of establishment. I had the Pho and it was surprisingly good, although the broth was not clear and the sprouts were not fresh it still was rather good.
Parking 10/10 Noise 6/10 food 5/10.
