I am one of Dr. Schermer's dental hygienists. I graduated from Lakeland Community College with my associates of applied science degree. I am currently continuing my education at Youngstown State University for my Bachelors in Allied Health. My favorite thing to do in my spare time is hang out with my family.
Dr. Jason Schermer received his BA in Biologic Sciences with a concentration in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1995. He then moved to Cleveland in 1996 to attend Case Western University School of Dentistry. Dr. Schermer graduated in 2000 and completed a one-year general practice residency at the Cleveland Clinic.

Keeping a regular preventative maintenance schedule with your hygienist and our dentists help you prevent not only tooth decay and periodontal disease but also avoid costly procedures and extra time in the hygiene chair. A regular home prevention routine usually consists of brushing at least twice a day and flossing at least once per day.
It's great news that the incidence of tooth decay has significantly diminished over the years due to the use of fluorides and an increase in patient awareness. However, teeth are still susceptible to decay, infection, and breakage and sometimes need to be restored back to health. Through improved techniques and modern technology, we are now able to offer more options for restoring a tooth back to its normal shape, appearance and function.

Broke a molar over the weekend and needed a crown. I was able to get an appt. quickly and had a beautiful new crown installed in just a couple of hours. No awful impressions with vile tasting fillers and multiple visits. It was a one and done with beautiful results. Thank you Dr. Schumer and Alyssa.

Outstanding office culture! Professional, polite, warm and compassionate staff. Dr Schermer obviously sets the tone and is a very good listener. His treatment includes state of the art technology. He is very considerate and discusses options and gently guides you to the right decision! He is smart and has a great sense of humor! And the dental hygienist and the doctors are very informative and super friendly. They remember you and your spouse's names and greet you by your name, which is super rare for me.
