Hunan Restaurant East

The food here tasted pretty good and the portions were large. The service is not that great and we had to flush down the waitress several times to take care of us. With improved customer service this could be a great restaurant.

Food is good, service is pretty friendly and fast. If your looking for well priced lunch items, this is the place. If your looking for quiet clean place, this may not be the place, other patrons with children get pretty loud, under tables get pretty dirty, but that don't matter if you don't look...

I love this place. The weather that speaks Spanish (his name is Pito) is very polite and he gives us very good options and explains to us everything. The taste of the meals are very good and they served big portions so you can share.

The menu offers many great choices. The staff takes food allergies seriously; that was appreciated! A Pecan Chicken dish was the lunch choice for the say. It was hot, tasty and served in a reasonable time frame. The prices are fair considering the expensive Flagstaff area.

I ordered the orange chicken and while the price was a bit up there compared to other Chinese places of this setting(maybe 2-3 bucks). The chicken was excellent and without any of those stringy pieces you sometimes get at other places. And crispy as heck thanks to them packaging the sauce separately. My only minor issues were that the sauce was a little thin for my liking and no spice like typical orange chicken. I wouldn't have minded a few pieces of steamed broccoli in the mix either but I digress. The service on the hand I had zero issues with, fast and friendly the way it should be. Kudos to

First of all the service was good but the food was so salty with , I’m guessing here, MSG , that my kids would not eat it. After $85.00 and no offer of taking $ off tab, we hit Taco Bell. Whatever, it’s local I guess… won’t be back

My favorite place as far as oriental food. They're at #1 on my list. I have tried many places in NM, TX, and here in AZ. I still have not found a place that is better than this one. Hunan East is by far the best!!

Their prices are fair and for an "aged" place it's kept clean!!
I always judge a restaurant by the outside appearance and also the restrooms and Hunans passes every time. I always want to look in their kitchen... if I ever do I hope to not be disappointed.

This is the best Chinese food restaurant in flagstaff period! No exaggeration! The service is amazing! The food is extraordinary! They have the best tea ever! If they had a buffet, I would eat there every other day! Now go try it!

Food has improved! Tastes like they have a new cook... fried rice is so yummy! (And I'm not a fan of fried rice...) lemon chicken tastes better, love fresh white meat chicken vs the frozen they used before.... tea had great flavor. The waitress was an idiot (misunderstood when asking for to go containers, she butted in with my date when she saw me taste his rice, asking if I wanted to order my own). Didn't prevent the food coming out fast and great!

We ordered way too much on purpose... Left overs the next day!! GREAT FOOD AND VALUE plus our server was Pito and he was as pleasant and accommodating as you could ask for. We ordered the Kung pao chicken and I have found if the kung pao is good it usually means they know what they are doing!! We also ordered the lemon chicken and sweet and sour chicken and chop suey. We will return for dinner and leftovers again.
