Hey large group of us went to Sedona for the tlaquepaque luminary lighting. So naturally, there were tons and tons of people visiting the area. So after the bus dropped us off we walked down the street a bit and found 89 agave available. We were escorted to the patio and we ordered. There was some minor problems with six of us at one table and having one check, which always always makes me angry. But aside from that, the food was excellent tamales nachos street tacos all had yum reviews at the table. So if you take more than the number of people that you're willing to pay for into this restaurant

I almost didn't come to this place because of the poor reviews, but I'm glad I did. Solid food and good drinks. In particular, the guacamole, salsas, and tamales (pork with red sauce) were enjoyable. Can't beat the tequila flights too! Ambiance and service were also good. Not sure why this has 3.5 stars - it deserves more than that.

I loved this place. Totally accommodating and great spot with outdoor seating on the sidewalk.
We had a group of four couples (8) and we needed to eat and we came down and they put two sets of tables together outside in the walled off portion of the exterior.
The appetizers were great. The three different types of salsa is probably the best and recommended for snacking - Careful one of those a straight up Fuego. That quesadilla is not an appetizer that is a giant enormous meal fit for as many as two people depending on how much you eat or one large man. you can add chicken or other meats to it

89Agave is right across the parking lot from the Orchards Inn. When you check in, they give you a coupon for a free appetizer. We found most of the appetizers were chip-based, so we opted for the crunchy shrimp with poblano cream sauce. It was very good and the jalapeños had a nice heat to them.
Our server was super friendly and efficient! We were sitting on the back patio in the late afternoon so it was pretty chill. I can't have any alcohol right now, so asked for a virgin margarita because, why not? Hubs had an ice cold beer.
We split the chicken fajitas and they were pretty good

My partner and I were traveling through Sedona from San Diego and could not find a bar open after 8pm. We were recommended 89 Agave. We had our dog with us, but that didn’t matter. They let her come inside because it was cold outside. They served us delicious food and beer. I feel so much better after a long drive! Brent, our server, was so kind and hospitable to us, making us feel at home and welcome. We enjoyed the tamales, which were the chef’s grandmother’s recipe. I highly recommend this place!!

EXCELLENT FOOD! I don’t get why this place only has 4 stars. The food and service here is phenomenal.
We got tacos - carnitas, beef/steak, fish. All of them were excellent. Also got the chips+salsa and chips+guacamole, also great. Ambiance- excellent (great decor, vibes, music selection). Overall just a wonderful experience.
Friend got a carnitas burrito. Also excellent.
Phenomenal food. Great service. So nice, we came back twice for dinner! All 4 of us highly recommend.

We decided to stop in this place for lunch while shopping in Sedona. It's a small Mexican restaurant. It took awhile to get the hostess to notice us and seat us. Our server, who didn't introduce himself, was just mediocre at best. He never brought us water. We had to ask for it. Also this restaurant does not serve complimentary chips and salsa, which I've never run across at a Mexican restaurant. My rating is based solely on the food because the lukewarm staff and the lack of chips and salsa did not impress me. Our table ordered the guacamole and chips. The chips were thin and

Had such a great time. When we walked up, we were immediately greeted and taken to a nice air conditioned place that had the perfect ambiance. We decided to order some queso dip to get started with and I was blown away. Honestly the best queso I've ever tried. The chicken red rock burrito was the final blow for me. I was so full by the end, I didn't even have room for dessert. And if you know me, you would know... I NEVER skip dessert I'm planning to make a second visit within the week for margaritas and dessert! Thank you for having such a pleasant restaurant 89 Agave!

Yeah I don't know who said this was number one margarita in town but we got the Funky Cacti and it tasted like straight cleaning supplies. If you are looking for a good margarita look somewhere else. The vibe of the restaurant is also very tourist focused. Not a good vibe and definitely not a good margarita.

Wow, what a great hidden place. I would have never thought the food here would be so extraordinary! But boy were we pleasantly surprised! We ordered quite a few things and everything tasted so great. From the burrito, through the fajitas and ending up with the fantastic Burger 89. We loved everything so much we had to do some desserts too. And you guessed, those were super yum too!

89 Agave is named after the iconic Mexican plant giving us the gift of Tequila. My El Jimador with orange liqueur was fantastic giving a most enjoyable buzz. The star of the show was the chili, marinated shrimp fajitas presented on a steaming hot plate with delicious onions, bell peppers, guac and sour cream. Is this a dream or reality it is so awesome....yes...it was all real and felt even better devouring every plump, delicious shrimp swimming in all those fun fajita ingredients.
