Dr. Tobar then attained her Doctor of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, in Boston Massachusetts. She then continued her dental education by completing a one year General Practice Residency at the San Francisco Veterans Hospital at Fort Miley.

Consistent dental care results in healthy smiles, and this process should start at an early age. Attention to oral care during the younger years ensures that your child's teeth can develop normally and help avoid many problems. Adults also benefit from regular visits. Most adults and children should be seen at least every 6 months for regular exams and cleanings as recommended by the American Dental Association.
Your initial appointment will consist of a clinical and radiographic examination along with a review of your treatment options if treatment is indicated. Additionally, a general cleaning will be completed. Sometimes, treatment can be done or started the same day as the exam. This will save time and allow us to help you process your claims along with providing you a more accurate estimate.
For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. For our patients without dental insurance we offer an affordable option to help you achieve your dental health goals. The special includes a Comprehensive Dental Exam, a full set of X-rays and a general cleaning. Experience a brighter, whiter smile. On average most patients see a shade difference between 6-8 shades immediately after treatment.

I have been a patient of Dr Tobar's for over 5 years and I have always gotten my issues resolved on time. The staff is really warm, and well trained and they know their stuff. I had an emergency situation with my tooth and she was able to accommodate me and help me with the examination too. Everything was done within 24 hours of me calling and reporting my concerns.

Have been going to Dr. Tobar for the last two years and absolutely love it. She is personable, sincere, direct and easy to communicate with. I solved some big dental issues that have been bothering me for a few years that I was afraid to tackle. She gave me a great referral to a colleague she collaborated with and I’m really happy I resolved it. I highly recommend her and the hygienists as well as the front office.

Best Dentist experience yet. Dr. Tobar and her team were really thorough and explained every step of the process. I’ve learned so much about my teeth and brushing habits. This was my first visit and everything was taken care of online beforehand. I will definitely be back. Oh and parking was easy too!

Dr. Tobar and staff are dental saints! Been visiting her the last 7 years and every time is better than the last. Enjoy seeing new equipment in the office too, she keeps the technology modern and up to the times, which speaks volumes about her careful research of the industry and attention to detail. So I decided to give this practice a shot due to a reference. This is for the front office. I showed up and a woman in medical gear was apologetic and said the Hygienist cancelled. I said when? The office managed said, " we called twice.... this am and last night". I checked my phone and I did miss a call on my phone on the day of the appointment. Nothing last night on our cell phones or home. She said they didn't have any other phone numbers, but I know I have them emergency numbers. They had to have an email too. I filled out all the forms. Disappointing lack of communication

First visit - Dr. Victoria Tobar and her Assistant Joyce took great care during my routine cleaning and went over details about my X-Rays. They both were very caring and professional from start to finish of the process.
During Covid-19 their office is taking extra precautions - taking temperatures on entry, wearing proper PPE gear, keeping minimal staff, and only seeing 1 or 2 customers every hour or so. U get all the attention!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! :-)

My family and I had to get a new dentist since ours retired recently. Thankfully Dr. Tobar was able to book appointments for us as two of my family members had urgent dental issues.
The doctor is very easy to talk to and is very professional. She also uses the newest technology for obtaining x-ray's and cleaning. Honestly our former dentist was still in the dark ages so to speak as far as modernizing his equipment.
Have also to give a ton of commendation to the office manager, Marissa, who is a lovely lady. She is so patient and has saved the day for us a few times now in relation

I went to Dr. Tobar for general dental maintenance and cleanings, after numerous visits at her office I asked about dental implants. I decided to move forward not too long after and had two front dental crowns done by Dr. Tobar, and she worked closely with Dr.Scharf (oral surgeon) to ensure my dental implant journey was comfortable and perfect. The process took 6 months and I am very satisfied with my smile. Dr. Tobar and her associates are friendly, gentle and put customer satisfaction first. Thank you Dr. Tobar and team!

Had a great experience at Victoria Tobar, DMD! It was my first time going to this provider as I moved to the city recently. The staff was great and quickly booked an appointment for me/quickly collected my dental information from my last dental provider which made the transition really easy! Am I seriously writing a review for a DENTIST!? Yes, Dr. Tobar and I were clearly meant to be just like me and my OBGYN! Never common for me to "like" my dentist since they're the ones who purposely cause pain to your teeth. Yes it's been some time since my last dentist visit and I have my reasons.
I was in horrible pain and needed immediate relief. I was referred to Dr. Tobar and lucky for me the woman answering phones could hear my desperation and painful tone she squeezed me in that very same day. Office location is convenient and parking was easy. Office is super cute

I love Dr. Tobar. I first went to her about two years ago while I was pregnant. I had a tooth that was causing me a lot of pain. She was able to take care of me right away and understood my needs as a pregnant woman. She also helped me save my tooth front teeth. What I love most about Dr. Tobar is that she doesn't try to juggle multiple patients at once.She takes her time with her patients and is a perfectionist. I really can not say enough good things about her. I feel lucky to have found her.

IN the center of San Francisco, we have a medical building in Union Square. The address is 450 Sutter Street.
The local nickname: "450 suffer" :)
Why? This tower with a security guard and mucho stress is full of radiologists and dentists. Very little actual medical care is delivered in that building. It's billing operations, really.
I drive an extra half hour to avoid 450 Suffer for dental care. Instead, I cross town to see Victoria.
She does not leave me to an assistant, not even for a cleaning. You get the doctor herself.
Parking is easy. Total non-judgemental environment
