Dr. Creese is an outstanding and thorough dentist. I need a crown made, and he has a dental lab across the hall that makes crowns, so he walked me over to get the right match during the appt. Also important, I didn't feel the injections going in as he used numbing gel, and inserted the anesthetic gradually, so no pain. A win/win, and I am back on track. His hygienist is also a pro! Thank you!!

Love the experience. Had a gaping hole in the centre due to poor filling from my previous dentist. Made my teeth almost as good as new. Realistic advice, I definitely want to come back and finish off my other treatments here.

I haven't had great dental insurance and it keeps changing, so I have seen the insides of a half dozen dental practices in SF. One dismayed me so much I resorted to the UCSF dental practice for awhile, figuring that though they are a busy mega-operation at least they don't have a profit motive messing up their judgment. UCSF was too busy to deal with a cracked crown and I found Dr Creese (on Yelp). He and his office were up for the challenge, and pronto. his practice is small and personal and his (chair-side) manner is kind but direct and honest. His practice is the best I've experienced

I moved to San Francisco a few years ago from LA and was in search for a new dentist when a friend referred me to this place. I've come to Dr. Creese for two years now and can't be happier with this dentistry! I've gotten a crown, multiple fillings, and come regularly for cleanings.

I knew I had to be back after my first cleaning. The hygienist took the liberty to carefully clean my teeth while she taught me the importance of gum health. The clincher was the sincerity and the genuine worry for my health that motivated me to take my dental health more seriously than I had before

I came here yesterday for my first time beautiful location with amazing views. I personally feel this place is more expensive. Thinking more about $$$$ then you personally. I have never felt upset leaving a doctor app and definitely didn't feel happy here. What I wanted was to remove wisdom teeth which was okay but I also had a small chip on my tooth that has and could be fixed but he wanted to do a whole veneer lol when it's just a tiny chip. He kept saying he doesn't do things that don't stay FINE then I asked how long does veneer and he answer idk maybe a month or more. So

PS... there was no "initial attempts to control the infection." No antibiotics. Not even mouthwash. So the fact that you know exactly who ran from your office says that you're at least not confused about which patients you've injured. You are however a liar.

Dr. Creese did and amazing job on my teeth. He cleaned my teeth and did a filling. Would recommend him to anyone who needs a good dentist. My teeth feel amazing after getting them all cleaned. He is very thorough when he cleans and makes sure he gets all the build up and plaque between your teeth. Makes your mouth feel fresh and your teeth feeling like they should. Him and his staff are friendly and I definitely recommend coming here.

Dr. Creese has been my dentist for more than 10 years now. I have had my fair share of dentists in my life, but now that I am in the care of Dr. Creese, I will never see another! He is gentle, kind, non-judgmental, and always tries to find a solution that doesn't involve breaking the bank. I trust him completely.

I've been going to Dr. Creese for about 3 years now, and I'm very, very happy that my friend referred me to him! I have problematic teeth, so I've always dreaded going to the dentist. In those 3 years, though, my teeth have gotten into better shape and I no longer fear going to the dentist. I attribute that to Dr. Creese and his great team, who have helped me develop better habits and have taken me through major dental moments without any issues.

So about those major dental moments... I had my first root canal last year with Dr. Creese and was terrified based on what I've heard

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Creese now for over 2 years. Our experience has been nothing short of the best. We couldn't be happier! His staff is always polite and friendly. Never once have I felt uneasy about this dentist or his work ethic! I'm a sensitive person and don't do well with pain or discomfort. Dr. Creese has always made my experience as painless as possible. My husband says his experience shows in how he makes his patients treatments tolerable if not painless.
I've read some of the other reviews and the reviewers that have negative remarks must crazy

DO NOT GO TO Richard D Creese UNLESS YOU WANT A CROWN FOR NO REASON! I went to him randomly on my year check up, he did not tell me what's going on with my teeth during the entire check up, he barely even talked to me. The only thing he asked was what is my job and then told me I need a crown....????? That's about it.

But then, I felt suspicious and went to another dentist for second option. My new dentist told me I only need some light fillings and my teeth are in pretty good condition. I am shocked by how unprofessional he is, this is just ridiculous ...well...after reading a few

No complaints here. After moving to the city about 6 months ago I was due for my regular cleaning, found Dr. Creese through my dental provider and set up an appointment no problem. Always friendly, very helpful, and located close to my place.

The office is a little cramped, but hey, it's San Francisco. If you want a dentists office where you'll actually get service from the dentist himself and not just a hygenist all the time (nothing against hygenists), then this is the place to go.

Dr Creese certainly likes his gold crowns. He convinced me to get two of them. They look seriously ugly :( But... I've not had any problems with them. His advice was that the gold crowns will last 2-3 times longer than ceramic. I guess I'm really stuck with them now! Or... with the price of gold where it's at, I could sell them and trade in for ceramic. The nasty work is already done... it's easy to rip them off and replace them I guess.

I have to agree with other reviews - this is an 'old school' dental office. I'd like to find a modern one... but how? My HMO

I saw Dr. Creese once for a consultation and a cleaning. Dr. Creese is very pleasant and engaging and his staff is helpful. There's even a nice view from the dentist's chair. He spent a fair amount of time with me going over a treatment plan. I think the problem I had with his practice is that I had come from a practice out of state that was a bit more cutting edge and progressive. The cleaning was very rudimentary. This experience as a whole felt like I was stepping back into the 80s and 90s. Which may not necessarily be a bad thing. But I think I got spoiled by my last dentist

Dr. Creese is very nice but seems to be more of an "old fashioned" dentist. He does not appear to be using the most current technology. My husband needed a crown and he tried to convince him to put a big gold one on! Staff is super friendly and I feel I received competent care but if you are looking for a more progressive dentist, he may not be your guy.
