We love the food here. They offer a cheeseburger served on a tortilla (their “Rancho Grande”) with plenty of the 505’s famous chili’s which is cooked to order. This is one of our favourite things from their menu.
Their hours of operation are not always compatible with when we are passing through the area; however I have always left here very glad to have made the time to exit I-25 and drive in to Pecos to get a meal.
This is not fast food; on the contrary they are a small business which takes their time. They seem to operate (during the late-lunch timeframe at-least) with a minimal staff

Casa de Herrera they have some god food and great desserts, the only thing I miss is there was this one waitress there she kept on top of things with drinks and food she would always ask if there was anything else I needed and she was very nice, and I think her name was Kathy. I live in Roswell and I go at least twice a month to go eat. But she was the best waitress.

We stopped in after exploring the Pecos Wilderness and it was the perfect end to a perfect day. The service was friendly and it was a clean, quaint, cozy place. The food was good and the homemade desserts were amazing. Go for the killer combo plate if you want a full belly! We had the raspberry chocolate cake and it was delicious! We'll be back.
