At the Asset Protection & Elder Law Center, we are committed to representing our clients with integrity, hard work, and highly personal legal counsel. Then, we work closely with you to design and implement a customized plan to address all of your concerns and help you achieve short and long-term goals.
Attorney Shadi Shaffer completed her Bachelor of Arts in Law & Society at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The following year, she went on to complete her Masters Certificate while studying abroad in Spain. Prior to her legal career, Attorney Shaffer had an extensive and diverse work history, which helped her gain skills that have proven invaluable to her legal practice.
Valerie Pasion is an attorney specializing in Estate Planning. She currently lives in Orange County with her husband (and high school sweetheart) and their four children. Attorney Pasion always knew she wanted to enter the legal profession for the purpose of helping people. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelors Degree in Criminology, Law and Society in 2005.
Our Attorney Evane K. Abbassi (Donya), has doctorate and post doctorate degree LLM in Law from Golden Gate University, School of Law and has been working with many prominent, high net families all over the U.S. and has been helping our clients to establish their family legacies. Evane wants to leave her own legacy of "Every Client Deserves a Personalized Legal Care and an attorney to give them his/her undivided attention."
Taline Arthur is a Paralegal with over 20 years of legal experience, and has been exclusively working in all phases of Estate Planning, Post Death Trust Administration and Probate since 2005. Taline has the ability to administer and oversee trusts and estates from commencement to final distribution.

My wife and I both felt that Shadi and her firm not only listened and understood our needs and querstions, but went beyond. She explained everything clearly, professionally and with a true human sensitivity that isn't always asociated with lawyers. Shadi has been great through the entire process of dealing with the very complicated sale of my wife's parents' house to my wife's brother. This transaction involved an A/B Trust that wasn't updated properly when her father passed away several years ago, with the added complication of California's Prop 19. And to add a little spice to the sauce, this was all done with a minimum of face-to-face meetings due to Covid. I would definitely use her again for future trust work.
