I move a lot but every time I come back to Bakersfield, I immediately look for availability at The Springs Apartment Homes.
I have lived in the basic, upgraded, and premium apartments in single bedroom and 2 bed 2 bath floor plans.
The apartments are nice and feature patios, washers and dryers, and plenty of storage space.
The grounds are kept clean and there is plenty of covered parking.
I especially enjoy all the squirrels, birds, and even kit fox sightings here.
They also accept large breed dogs and allow 2 pets.
The only reason they don’t get 5/5 stars is because their basic units are

Upon moving out from the apartment we had one little scuff mark on the wall ( based on their own inspection) and yet they charged us more than $400 for painting the ENTIRE apartment. Most of our security deposit is gone, used by them to beautify the apartment at the former tenant’s expense

I’ve experienced a few apartments, all have the perks and downfalls. This has been the most infuriating of them all. Biggest complaint is the neighbors. Upstairs, constant banging, partying, intentional stomping and yelling. As CSUB is across the street, it seems to be mostly rowdy college kids that live here. It’s not completely the neighbors faults, as the walls are so thin you can hear almost everything. And I mean EVERYthing. People park with no regard for red zones and handicap spaces. The place is run down so badly that just about everything needs replacing, and then you’ll be told

There's a reason this is the only place left on the market in Bakersfield, nobody would want to live here because of the employees. so disappointed in what could have had good potential but ruined. I suggest you look somewhere else , it's NOT WORTH IT.

Definitely never going back to this location or recommending them to anyone. Took almost every cent of the double deposit put down and for no good reason. Constantly had to harass office for any maintenance request or inconvenience and multiple thefts happen in the area without them caring. Not worth the money at all.

The Springs is probably one the biggest rip offs there is. Way over priced the staff are rude and useless. I recommend that any body looking for apartments to stay away from this place it’s just not worth it.

When I went to drop off my Disabled mom to my sister apt.. the Handicap parking spots were taken up by cars that didn't display a Handicap placker or plate.. I had to take my mom back home.. I called the Springs office to let them know and they did nothing about it.

Stay away from the Springs! I was robbed the first month I moved in. Lights and safety are a concern, most of the lights on the buildings and on the sidewalks surroundings the parking lots do not work and management says they are aware of them and are always actively replacing them, that is not true. My neighbor had his car broken into. The unit was filthy upon my move in with spiders, roaches, ants, and carpet stains. They increase the rent at the end of your lease and its a 60 day notice you have to give them to move out. I left the apartment in a cleaner state than I received it in and they

I have loved my stay here at the springs. Great neighbors, beautiful scenery, nice pools, and a gym. I do recommend getting the apartments with upgraded appliances. Everybody is saying bugs is an issue but you can put in a request to get it sprayed and if you request it once a month there should be no problems. I would absolutely recommend staying here if you want affordable living on a nice side of town and no dog breed restrictions.
