Founded in 1962 by Richard Nimmo, Bergen Funeral Service, Inc. is a family-owned and operated funeral home service. Scott Nimmo joined his father in 1980, while Scott's son Andrew and his nephew Matthew Connors joined in 2012. Having grown up in the funeral service community, our family understands providing compassionate care and exceptional service to all families during this trying time.

My recent experiences with Bergen Funeral Service has been exceptional. They are one of a kind and we were blessed to have them. Last year when we lost my mom to COVID and could not find a funeral home to take care of her services and flying her remains to PR from NY they were so accommodating and compassionate. They made the impossible happened when no one else would and my mom was laid to rest in PR thanks to Bergen funeral team members. Unfortunately, while I was on vacation recently my brother passed away back home and again Bergen Funeral Service assured me, comforted me and took care of all

Losing a son at age 25 is very painful and I didnt know where to begin. After making my first call to one nameless funeral placeI realized that my hopes was to find the right one after that call.
