The team at the Gideon Putnam went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend a wonderful experience for our guests - and us! We had a mix of local guests and folks traveling to be with us. The Gideon offered an amazing destination for everyone. Very disappointing. Old hotel living on its historical reputation... clearly lacking any renovation or upgrades. Reserved one of their most expensive rooms... Ceiling leaking, stained carpet, clogged drains... Not worth it. Skip it and spend the same at one of the newer hotels in town... for much more.

The Gideon Putnam hotel is situated inside the beautiful Saratoga Park. The hotel itself is built in 1935 so it the hotel is old. It was reconstructed but I’m not sure what year. Anyway, this is the second time we stayed at this place because we love this place.
If you’re a golfer, a runner, someone who loves to ride bicycle in the park or just simply love the nature. Stay here at The Gideon Putnam.
The front desk people are very helpful but I have to say Rich (valet) by far is the most hospitable person in this establishment. Nice guy, I think Tom is his partner in crime, another wonderful

Great place, beautiful inside and out. The service was outstanding there. The staff very friendly had a fantastic time. You can hike on the property. They have 2 swimming pools one has a big tube slide. Golf, lawn games, so many amenities just ask at the front desk. There is a spa too. If you get a message reserve a mineral soak too. Have to make a reservation for it. The natural springs there are amazing the water comes from the spring naturally carbonated. Really cool. Lots of history there too check it out!
