At Camelback Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, we strive to create a comfortable and welcoming treatment environment for our patients. From the moment they enter the waiting room to any follow-up appointments they might need, our team is here to help ease them into the treatment process. When providing pediatric dental care and orthodontics to our patients, we help establish a positive rapport with the idea of receiving regular dental checkups.
By gathering information on the patient's medical history and current condition, we can customize the treatment to their needs. Since no patient has the same teeth as another patient, we will customize the treatment to each patient's needs. We will also schedule follow-up appointments when necessary, to help keep track of the patient's oral health.
Throughout your life, you will have two sets of teeth: primary (baby) teeth and secondary (permanent) teeth. The primary teeth first appear around ages 4-8 months, and usually all 20 are in place by age 3. However, these eruption times can vary and still be normal. Permanent teeth usually begin to erupt around age 6 and, with the exception of wisdom teeth, are teeth all present between ages 12 and 14.
Tooth decay is a progressive disease resulting from the interaction of bacteria that naturally occur on the teeth and sugars in the everyday diet. Sugar causes the bacteria to produce acids that break down the minerals in teeth, forming a cavity. Dentists remove the soft, decayed tooth structure and fill the void to restore the tooth to a healthy state.
Your child's first dental visit should be scheduled around when the first tooth erupts or by 1 year of age. The most important part of the visit will be the conversation you will have with us about the prevention of cavities. Diet, oral hygiene, and fluoride are the 3 important topics we will discuss and we will explain how if you follow some simple rules, you can ensure your child remains cavity free.

We have been coming to Camelback Pediatric Dentistry for many years and we have always been pleased with their service. The staff and dentists are great with the little ones. They have always been extremely patient and are able to keep children calm and entertained. We have four children and they have never felt intimidated or scared at their appointments. In fact, they are always excited to go to their next appointment. My two older children have both had braces and now have beautiful smiles. I’ve been going here for 8 years and had everything from braces and rubber bands to an expander and retainers and the rare cavity. Today I was told I was reaching the age where I might be over the age of going here for the dentist but that is about the only bad thing in all my time here, I can’t go here for longer. Seeing my son's beautiful smile even more beautiful due to Dr. Jennifer Mirabelli work make me so appreciative of her and everyone at Camelback Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. She did a fantastic job with his braces and even corrected some movement on my teeth from not wearing my retainer. We started seeing Dr. Rob Mirabelli when my oldest was 3 or 4 years old, he is now 14. The entire staff has always been kind, friendly, helpful on time and they always go above and beyond to make the kids feels safe and comfortable.

We love this office. My girls have been coming here for 14 years. They have done such a good job of making my kids feel comfortable through extractions, braces, cavities the works! I also don’t ever feel like they are selling to me like other dentist sometimes do. They only recommended braces for one of my two kids. Plus it’s decorated cute and they have an office dog :)
