Services
The Danbury War Memorial Association is a non-profit recreational and educational facility, located in Rogers Park, Danbury, CT, built for our motto "To Honor The Dead, To Serve The Living." Via donations, memberships, and a conscientious staff, the War Memorial offers a diversified program of indoor activities, a complete fitness center, and a base for community events.
Our association has been in existence for over half a century. We have served the Danbury, Connecticut community as a place to honor our military, provide recreational opportunities for adults and children, and serve as an emergency center during times of natural disasters. Our board of directors would like to express the deepest gratitude to all our corporate sponsors who have made or mission possible.
Built in 2012 to commemorate the men and women who have served in the American military, the Veterans Walkway of. The Historical Milestone was originally placed in 1787 by Major William Taylor in front of his house which stood on. The Merchant Marine monument is meant to initiate a greater public understanding of those who delivered materials across every ocean.

Let me start by saying that I am not one for a shiny new gym's where everyone stands around talking instead of working out. I like a place that looks worn, like it's been through some abuse, you know the type of place where people actually pick up weight lift them and then put them down, not always gently. That's the type of place that the war Memorial is, every time I step in here I see everybody working out and taking their work out seriously. I have been to other gyms in the area but I cannot say the same, sometimes they feel more like a social club then the gym. If you want to
