Services
John Yraguen and his wife Nicole are both natives of the Treasure Valley. John has had a career in funeral services since 1977, and has served Canyon County since 1981, earning your trust with his genuine commitment to his field. He spent many years working with a corporate mortuary firm but always dreamed of owning his own funeral home.
In the summer of 2002, our family opened a new and exciting chapter in our lives when we proudly founded "Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel." Although our business was new, the building had been operated in for many years prior as an established funeral chapel under another name. Consequently, we were faced with building a brand new reputation under the shadow of a previous business.
As a funeral chapel, we believe that the most important thing we can offer is our loving help when planning a service. We understand that when you choose Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, you have entrusted your family with ours, and we treat your choice with immeasurable respect. You can be assured that your experience with us will be satisfying and, most importantly, a comforting celebration of your loved one's life.
What does pre-planning your service do for the ones you leave behind? It leaves them with a peace of mind knowing your service has been customized to your wants and needs. In the event of a death, it can leave an emotional strain on a person. Funeral arrangements and last wishes are a personal thing and who better knows your wishes than you?
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

My boyfriends dad was taken to this home after he passed away. The undertaker was kind but made some underhanded comments to his wife that the family did not appreciate. After some research and some expenses we discovered that the home had been up charging some services like the cremation by a lot, like taking almost 120 percent profit. When we inquired about the price he was flippant and rude.
I would not recommend this funeral home to anybody. Nobody who has lost a family member or friend should have to deal with this.

Our mother passed away unexpectedly after being hit by a car. It was a hard and devastating time for our family. John was very kind and made the process as easy as possible. By the end he was a dear friend to our family. My sister commented after our first meeting that if there was any high pressure sales pitches she would have walk out. It was quite the opposite. John showed us options and always helped us feel that we were honoring our mother in whatever choice we made. He was respectful, and I feel, does his job with dignity, honoring those who have passed on. I would highly recommend this establishment
