The inn is at a great location. It's so nice to be literally on the water. The place is clean.
The thing is that the rooms are so dated. I was also turned off by the mix match of toiletries. I feel kinda silly complaining about that but it felt like it was a grab bag of leftovers.
I was also annoyed that they wouldn't let us have a late checkout. It's the off season...it's not like it's super busy.
We would probably come back but not for their high summer prices. It would have to be under $200 a night for us.

I struggle to even leave 2 full stars. The online pictures are beautiful and misleading. Check in process was easy but trying to find your room is a nightmare. There is no rhyme or reason to the maze of hallways to room numbers way out of order. The hallways are dimly lit and musty smelling, but the bad lighting helps hide the hideous worn green carpeting. Cots stores in little coves in hallways and bags of trash. This is all before even getting to our room. Upon arriving at our door, there was a heap of soiled towels and linen- that stayed there for almost two hours. The room is unbelievably

Very affordable at the end of the season. Great views of sunrise, which is why I stayed. But a few housekeeping issues - a bag of cookies left in the room by housekeeping by mistake (not necessarily a bad thing!), a dirty cup on the floor, and tape over the smoke detector and sprinkler so guests could smoke (probably not cigarettes) in the room without setting an alarm off.

Ok it's not the Four Seasons. The location is great, the little balconies if you get an ocean front room are good for two people to sit comfortably and have coffee or a cocktail. Our stay was in October and there was nobody at the adjacent decks so great. If the place were full it may have felt different. Little bar is Great and our bartender was a great party starter and everyone at the bar had a ball. Would suggest eating elsewhere. Bottom line it's a heavily used beach hotel and overall I feel the management does a good job keeping the units clean and serviceable. Bed was comfortable

I booked a room in August and their bar and restaurant were closed so at full price with no amenities I was robbed at 514 for a night. No apologies from them just a rip off. This was never the way before the new owners. I will never stay again. The room was dirty and 1 towel after they made me wait to get in at 730pm. Horrible!!

The rooms are very poorly maintained. Hairs in the bathtub. Sand and hairs on headboards. The refrigerator and freezer did not work. Our first room was covered in fruit flies, so we were moved to another room. We were reimbursed for the downgrade we had to take to move to a non-bug infested room. We stayed here in October , the end of busy season. The prices were pretty high, especially for the low quality rooms you are getting. This hotel needs a lot of work and should try much harder on cleanliness. The only reason we didn’t leave and ask for a reimbursement is because there was nowhere else

Well this was my first time staying at the Pleasant View Inn. We were excited to stay on the beach for a few days without having to venture off for food and lodging. Upon check-in we were informed that their kitchen would be closed for two days (Sept 7th and 8th) for floor renovations. This place has the potential of being really nice. It has beautiful lighting and seating out back, oceanside. I was not impressed with the state of the room or the hallways leading to and from our room. I will let some of the photos I took speak for themselves. I had a higher expectation for what I paid to

Nice views if ocean while dining! My new England clam was tasty, but could've been thicker. For dinner I ate the chicken Francis which was flavorful. For dessert I got the Is cheesecake with the blueberry sauce which I liked because typically you always find cheesecake with either strawberry raspberry sauce.
My family got the calamari app with the peppers and said it was good and also the special app of the evening shrimp gazpacho, which came in a glass instead of a bowl.

A quaint, modest beach hotel with rooms for your family or your romantic get away. We have had the pleasure of staying in both a pool view and ocean view room, and both were absolutely wonderful.
In all cases, you are steps away from the beach or pool, food or drink. While rooms are on the small side, it is exactly what you need for a beach vacation - IF YOU ARE IN THE ROOM TOO MUCH, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG.
The proximity to the Andrea, Maria’s, Misquamicut State Park, Gino’s,Purple Ape, Dusty’s and so many other area favorite honestly makes it hard to beat.

I had a restricted Ocean View room, which is just a first-floor room facing the ocean, The View was great... Like anything on the beach this place is expensive, but the room was clean and no mold smell... The entire Place could use new carpeting in the hallways, but overall condition was acceptable, beach is great and most importantly they will let you park your car the day you check in and go to the beach and use the facilities... Even after you check out you can use the facilities for the rest of the day, and there's plenty of parking across the street... Andrea bar and restaurant is next door

Just returning from a 3 day stay at our favorite place on the beach. We have been coming to the Pleasant View Inn since 1984. Views and amenities offered on site are great. Property is definitely in need of some tlc and cleaning. Our only disappointment with our stay this year was the lack of any offering of breakfast. While I can understand the lack of staff during the covid pandemic made offering a full breakfast impossible, I think efforts could have been put into a self service continental breakfast of some sort with the price we pay for staying at the Pleasant View. Thank you for the memories

We've been coming here for over a decade. While the ocean view can't be topped we were disheartened by the shape of the room. For a two night stay that translates to just under $1000, the bathroom and the room itself should be clean. We would not leave our home in this condition for our sitter. The carpet is in terrible shape, with a big gaping hole by the bed. The room smells musty and like a bad air freshener. We are not the type of customers to complain about anything but quite honestly for the price you deserve better. We're going to look into other options until this place gets

All staff was excellent. Always happy with smiles to help or answer questions. The only down fall is the ocean view room had a broken screen door so you couldn't leave open at night to enjoy the sound of the waves. Renters before us smoked on Patio leaving cigarettes in a plastic cup. No one seemed to inspect the entire room before the next vacationers arrived. The bathroom was awful. Ceiling leaking in shower from above floor, curtain rod did not fit within tub. Fuses blew while blow drying hair. Curtain rod literally hanging out of the wall. If your lucky enough to have a bathroom that is decent

Great location on the ocean. Old hotel and the rooms are very dated. Expect a lot of noise in the evening with the children running around in the hallways and having fun in the pool. If you have young children great place to bring them. If you want a quieter place and a good night sleep you will want to avoid this place.

This the hidden gem of southern RI! My two girlfriends and I came to go to Andrea on Sunday but before we got there we checked out the reviews and saw that this place serves food (somewhat foodie food)! Which couldn't have worked out better. We had one drink and ventured next door to check it out. The hostess was friendly and the bar staff was nice. We sat in the little dining room overlooking the water. The view was just to die for. Beautiful day on the water with some exceptional food. We had apps and entrees that used all fresh ingredients with tons of flavor that all mended together well

Great having everything in one spot. The view is gorgeous. The balcony is super tiny. So is the room. The room was very clean and the on-site restaurant was very good. They are a bit non-specific about the complimentary "cocktail"- it was a choice of a beer or a vodka punch. Their $14 blueberry cocktail was ALL ice.

The best thing about this in is it's location. It is RIGHT on the beach. However there is little else to say positively. We paid 1200 and change for 3 nights. No maid service, no breakfast offered and not a cup of coffee to be found short of a car ride. What hotel doesn't have coffee???? Ok next it is CARPETED. Everywhere. Dirty, bleach stained and ugly. Lastly we booked through a 3 Rd party app and they claimed the rooms were much larger. I have never stayed in a smaller room ever.

Overall, the room was comfortable and the ocean front view was to die for, but I had a continued sense of uncleanliness. The carpets were not cleaned, not vacuumed, dirt on the floor in the common areas. The bathrooms were disgusting and had to remind front desk. They did not have regular staff monitoring, cleaning up and sanitizing as they should have. Regardless of just emerging and opening up from Covid they should have been much more prepared, especially when customers are seeking to escape after been locked down. I didn't see anyone wiping down surfaces which would deter me from going

This past weekend was my first time staying a The Pleasant View and let me tell you it certainly was pleasant. Upon check in I was given two wooden tokens good for the drink of the day in the bar. So that was a great start right there. Haha. The staff at the front desk was friendly, professional and helpful. When I walked into my room the light was on and the AC was set to 60 degrees. For some people that might be a problem but for me that was an A+ move because I like a room that's on the chilly side to sleep in. The bed was comfortable, There was plenty of storage in the room so if

Pleasant stay at the Pleasant View Inn! The room was decently clean for a hotel on the beach. I always expect to see some sand. Plenty of extra amenities such as pool towels provided, all day coffee, cookies in the afternoon, bingo at the bar. We chose the rate that included breakfast each morning and were happy with our decision since any place else would have required a drive. Ate lunch at the restaurant and loved the portabello burger. The ocean view is amazing.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay here. Our room was beautiful and the heated swimming pool was GLORIOUS. The views from the hotel were breathtaking as well and the beach was very clean. The reason for the 4 stars was the restaurant. Every meal for 2-4 people took many hours. The food took forever to come out, even just simple sandwiches. A large portion of our day was taken up just trying to eat meals.
I would stay here again, but I would try to eat elsewhere.
