South County is an ideal location for a hub and spoke tour of Southern New England. We have hotels, restaurants, and land and water businesses that welcome groups. Listed here is a sample of lively itineraries that are ideal for large or small groups, but we can also customize an experience for your group.
Make this a two-day tour! Great for a weekend getaway or even a midweek retreat. On the first day, visit the Matunuck Oyster Bar. Don your waders and explore the shellfish nursery in the shallows of Potters Pond. End the day with a champagne toast, fresh, local oysters and lunch at the restaurant. On the second morning, tour the hops farm at Exeter's Tilted Barn Brewery and taste some of the local craft beer.
Your journey begins on land at the home of the respected and innovative Seabees - the worker bees of the U.S. Navy - a collection of skilled craftsmen such as electricians, carpenters, plumbers, etc. who were engaged in construction and combat. By sea, tour ten of our most beautiful and historic lighthouses from aboard a Rhode Island Bay Lighthouse Cruise.
