A complete home inspection covers major aspects of a property's condition and can alert you to existing or potential problems. To help you identify any issues up front so you are not blindsided with additional negotiations after an accepted contract. Sewer scopes are recommended for any age home because the sewer line out to the City line is the home owner's responsibility.
A scope will detect line blockage, damaged pipes and more. If the transaction cancels - for ANY reason - the Buyer's next inspection will be discounted $100.00 if it within 30 days of the original inspection. Heartland Inspections inspects the roof to the foundation and everything in between. Trusted by Twin Cities buyers, sellers, real estate professionals and homeowners since 1994.

Services
Heartland has been inspecting Minneapolis St Paul area homes for 25 years and consistently receives great reviews from customers and real estate professionals. In fact we've received over 700 positive reviews! You can be confident we will be thorough, professional and will give you the information you need from a home inspection to make an informed decision-whether you're buying, selling or simply maintaining your home.
After you've finalized the purchase agreement to buy a home, often called the PA, schedule your home inspection ASAP. That allows time to do the inspection and prioritize the results to help you decide whether or not the property is right for you. The property report focuses on major systems and components as well potential safety issues, so that you know about existing problems and/or what may be in need of repair or replacement.
The more you know about your home ahead of time, the more prepared you'll be for the sales process. Sell your home more quickly, more easily and often for more money with a Pre-listing inspection. In today's market, buyers view a pre-listing inspection from a reputable company as peace of mind that the seller is making a reasonable effort to disclose the home's condition.
At the end of the day, knowing the big picture is considerably better than 'working without a net'. A Post-Purchase home inspection may seem counterintuitive. But in today's market it's the norm for many new homeowners. Usually the inspection is performed prior to purchase so you know the condition of the home you're buying and if you wish, can negotiate the findings with the seller for repairs or replacement.
Adding a radon test to your home inspection can be a healthy and financially sound decision. Radon is an odorless gas that seeps into your home through the foundation. It's caused by the breakdown of granite in the earth. Radon levels in neighborhoods vary from home-to-home because the ground composition below a particular home is unique and so is the home's foundation.

Inspector Dan was quick, courteous, and to the point. In this market, even getting a seller to agree to an inspection is rare, so his availability to meet our tight timeline was also very appreciated. He was able to answer all of my questions easily and I walked away with confidence.

I needed a next-day home inspection, and scheduling one was easy and quick.
My inspector, Matt, did an extremely thorough inspection and took the time to walk me through a handful of areas and answered all of my questions. Within 3 hours of the inspection being complete, I received a extremely detailed report.
Would strongly recommend!

As a first time home buyer, I appreciated the thoroughness, thoughtfulness and patience of Heartland Inspections. Dan was meticulous in his inspection and went above and beyond to answer our (many) questions. We'll be using them again in the future!

Dave Anderson was very friendly, professional, and thorough with our walkthrough. He explained in detail each of the issues he found and answered all of my questions. Ordering the inspection was very easy online and there was plenty of availability. The report was delivered same day with further details and with reference photos. Overall I was very pleased with Heartland Inspections and would highly recommend their services. Thank you Dave!

Matt was our inspector--Heartland was recommended by our broker. In an effort to do due diligence, I called 3 other places in addition to Heartland. Their phone staff, while admittedly a little gruff, was more knowledgeable than average, their number of inspectors meant that there were more available appointments, which was helpful, and I was informed that they had several inspectors who specialized in older homes (including Matt)--a big plus for us! They also do radon and sewer in house, which is a nice service. I also appreciated very much that they didn't mind me tagging along for the whole
