Located in the heart of downtown Campbell, La Bamba & Hair was founded by nationally acclaimed stylist Carlos Alfredo over 30 years ago. A native of Colombia, Carlos' heritage with hair runs deep and the branches on his family tree are ripe with phenomenal hair designers. Having had my hair professionally done for over 25 years, I truly panicked when I lost my long-time hair stylist after all those years.

Services
Drawing from four decades of experience, Carlos has found inspiration working alongside and learning from Vidal Sasson, Paul Mitchell and Sebastian International. Creating his own styles since 1977, Carlos is recognized in his industry as a trendsetter. However, the desires of his client's always come first, from the long layered cuts of the 70's to the spiral perms in the 80's to the highlights frenzy in the 90's.

I'm always really skeptical about who does my hair because it's curly and curly cuts can be challenging. My mom and her friends went to Yuji who is a Japanese hair stylist and always had great experiences so I gave it a shot. I was just getting a cut but even for my super long curly hair, he was done in about 50 minutes which was amazing.
It's been a while since a hair stylist wanted to put layers in my hair but he did and I love my new haircut. It's super short and light and my curls feel revived. Yuji-san is super talented, and the salon is very clean and nicely decorated

Carlos is AMAZING. I didn't fully appreciate how awesome he was until I moved out of the area and tried others. I have literally tried a dozen highly rated hair folks in the last few years and never find anyone who so effortlessly makes my hair look just right. I manage to get back to him about once a year to reset his fabulous work but wish I could pack him up and move him in next door to my current location in the Sierra Foothills!

I came across salon owner/stylist Carlos over ten years ago and now I can't imagine going anywhere else! I was in the market for a new hairdresser when I wandered by his salon. On a whim, I stopped in to talk to him. I appreciated that he was professional AND friendly and that his salon was clean and quiet. I was a bit nervous during my first haircut because Carlos works faster than other hairdressers I'd been to but boy, did he get it right! He removed extra weight that was dragging down my short cut and, after proposing it to me, gave me a style just a bit more "sassy"

This review is long overdue. I have been going to Carlos for several years and I've never had a bad or even slightly awkward haircut. Both my cut and color are always on point. The experience in the salon is also great. It's a clean, quiet and relaxing environment. Carlos never shoved several other clients into appointment slots while my color processes, which I really appreciate. His prices are also affordable for Campbell.

I would highly recommend Carlos - he's my favorite hair stylist, and I've had many over the years. I was referred by a friend over 10 years ago, and I've always been extremely pleased. First and foremost, he's great with my hair - the cut is always spot on, as is the color. In addition, he's professional and it's always a pleasure to chat with him. The salon is clean, calm, and I always feel very comfortable. This is a high-end salon, without the high-end attitude or the high-end prices.

I ask him to cut my hair for 3 year
I'm always left satisfied with no complaints.
His techniques is excellent!
He's not only skillfull but also friendly and efficient.
Especially, when you want to try new hair style, he will be so helpful to you. He'll cut your hair as you image or even better. You have no idea about your new hair style? Don't worry! Just go to see him. He surely finds the best one with you!

My stylists was Yuji, a Japanese hair stylists. (408-375-0837)He's fluent in Japanese and English, which is a huge plus! I need someone who understands my needs. My hair can be challenging since it's wavy so I decided to give Japanese Hair straightening a try. The results were very flattering and I am pleased with how it turned out. If you request him you should call ahead in advance since he's pretty popular and gets booked fast.

I used to go here because I'm an Iris stalker and supporter. She is amazing and excellent work. I can honestly say that Iris took my hair virginity, and I keep going back! Her cuts, colors and head massages are to die for. She explains every step and very honest.
She recently relocated and I was able to locate my Iris Torrez up the street basically around the corner at a new lively place called PLATNUM THE SALON. The people are friendly and welcoming and I'm happy for her.
