I started my journey into the hair industry over 20 years ago as a bridal hairstylist and absolutely fell in love with it over the years. As a Eufora Educator, American Board Certified Master Colorist, & winner of Euforas Haircolorist of the Year 2017, my specialties include customizing colors and styles to work within each guests lifestyles and budget.
My official journey in to this industry started 15 years ago, but my earliest memories as a child, included cutting and styling any doll I came across. I am so lucky that I was able to turn something I enjoy so much, into a career that has me creating customized looks for each guests that sits in my salon chair.
This private salon suite located inside the Sola Salons building near Whole Foods on Hamilton & S. Bascom Ave. There's plenty of parking, Our salon is open by appointment only. Alova Salon is a Eufora products and hair color exclusive salon. We are focused on professional, environmentally friendly, and effective products that will leave you with the healthy shiny hair you have always dreamed of.
The best way to reach us is through email. We do our best to respond within 1-12 business hours. We do not have a salon receptionist to answer calls while we are with clients. For this reason, we prefer to be contacted by email or text. If you are a new guest, please contact us by filling out the New Client Color or New Client Haircut Forms form first.

I have been going to Marie for close to 6 years now and she is truly the only person I trust. I am never disappointed with her work and her attention to detail is unmatched. Marie has been my stylist for over 9 years, and every appt is amazing. Even though I've been getting the same services every time, she still takes the time to do a thorough consult to see how my hair has been and if I am interested in something different. I have been going to Marie Gutto for 15 years. She is the only person I will let cut, color, and style my hair. I recently moved out of the area and still travel back for her. Marie is better than anyone at listening to my ideas and then walking through a plan to achieve the look I want. I appreciate her expertise and her genuine honesty regarding what will work for my hair type. If a specific cut or color will not turn out the way it looks in a photo I have brought in from pinterest, she is amazing at understanding what aspects of that look that I like, and we make a plan to achieve the components
