I've dropped by the Lighthouse Bar and Grill that's inside the bellwether a few times and I've always enjoyed the drinks at the bar but it wasn't until recently that I actually stayed here.
My wife and I wanted a quick getaway from our life and decided to give it a try and we were blown away. From the moment we walked in the staff were always helpful and available. The decor is a great mix of luxury and comfort with a nice PNW theme.

It's been nearly a full week since my family and I spent an evening listening to jazz and enjoying wonderful food at the Bellwether, but my heart is still happy with our time there and I felt the need to say so. I work full time and have my own business to run so family time can be rare and very precious. That being said, the staff at the Bellwether did not disappoint.
When we first arrived the hope had been to sit out on the patio to better hear the music and watch our friend play, but since they are a popular band in the area, even though we got there early the patio was already full.

Excellent stay in the Bay View Suite!
As mentioned, the views are wonderful and there are nice pathways to walk along the marina and over to Zuanich Point Park. Be ware the park can be very windy. I even walked into town, it's only about a mile.
The room was very quiet, no noise from neighboring rooms and housekeeping had a high standard of cleanliness. The king bed was very comfortable, which is not always the case. Often hotel Kings are firm to the point of being rigid. Not so here.

Staying here was on my forever bucket list. . . Happy birthday, I am here! For the money paid, this place did not live up to expectation. We have received cleaner rooms and better and friendlier customer service from housekeeping staff at Holiday Inn Express.
Front staff and their sweet dog was a blessing to keep us from being totally disappointed. Also, the staff in the restaurant were over the top, but that is a separate review.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Hotel Bellwether during Sept 2020 amidst Covid-19 protocols. The place felt safe, clean, and not too crowded. Our room was clean and in good repair. Bed was comfortable, fireplace was nice, and I loved the robes and free slippers. We tried to enjoy the jetted bathtub but the water did not seem to stay hot long enough to fill the tub up and a few of the tub settings didn't work. I do wish the bath salts would have been complimentary and not $9. They had a nice minibar selection with local drinks and treats for purchase. Overall we enjoyed the stay and hope to

This is an amazing property, kept in nice shape surrounded by beautiful harbor views. The hotel staff was courteous, the room clean & spacious, and the amenities plentiful. Overall a good time.
The price is $$$ which is inline with the upscale nature of the property. Hotel Bellwether delivered on our stay and so is money well spent.
I DO have some constructive criticism. The interior lobby tiles and hallway carpets were a bit ugly and dated. Some white marble would look much more elegant around the elevator flooring, and that ugly dark carpet would look better with the cream/khaki carpet

Next door restaurant with the fire and water structure has very yummy food with amazing marina and sunset views
This is the place that I would like to come back to for a week
Keep in mind to keep your balcony closed or you will hear trains at night
Parking directly below the hotel and plenty of restaurants around

Get the sunset room. Absolutely the best view.
This place is such a gem. Staff is super nice. The restaurants actually have amazing food.
Room was super clean. Breakfast to our room was very yummy.
Remember to CLOSE your balcony door at night or the sound of train will wake you several times during the night.
The gym is super small and crowded. So I went for a run around the bay instead.
Otherwise perfect:)

I liked the Hotel Bellwether. Certainly, the views from our room were magnificent. It was a five star stay for us, although the Hotel Bellwether may not be a five star hotel when comparing hostelries around the world.
Our second floor room was large, with a pleasant balcony overlooking Bellingham Bay and the islands. The room's architecture was almost a twin of our room at the Willows Lodge in Woodinville. Strangely, they each had an accordion window over the tub looking into the bedroom. I don't get the design. Even the electric fireplaces were in the same location. However, at

Hubby and I stayed two nights here celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. When we checked in the ladies at the desk were very nice, wished us a happy anniversary and gave us a card. We arrived to our room just before the completion of the sunset. We were able to capture some stunning pictures from the awesome view in our 3rd floor deluxe suite. The underground, secured parking was an added bonus. The king size bed was very comfy. There was the cutest, tiny, little dishwasher in the kitchenette!! We didn't use it but it was dang cute! We had a slight issue with the ceiling fan not working

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bellwether. The room was nice and the staff professional. Room was very quiet. We didn't hear any neighborIng rooms. They have a good mini bar and concessions selection available in the room. One of the best parts about staying here is the secure parking garage. You can park your vehicle and feel confident it is safe for the night. Great place to stay.

It is very expensive and has a beautiful location but the bed wasted very comfortable, the in-room hot tub wasn't really fun to use and the soaps are very perfume smelling. Also - the room was very warm and stuffy and didn't cool off even though we turned the heat off.
This place isn't worth the money.

The Hotel Bellwether is delightful! I admit, I was a "chrysalis groupie" for years...but, forgive me...the Hilton has gobbled up yet another previous gem...so, YAY, BELLWETHER!
Here are just a few of the things I love about the Bellwether:
o The view from the rooms! Oh my gosh! How did I miss this? No noisy trains (yes, they are charming except at four in the flipping morning...) just a lovely, seriously lovely harbor! Wow! And, it is so, so peaceful! They do not make this as clear enough, although, unless you stay there you will never really know.

Stayed here for the second time in as many years since we so enjoyed it on our first visit. This little gem is tucked away in the Bellingham marina area and is an idyllic place to spend an adult weekend. While the rate was expensive, you do feel as if you are at a secluded hideaway. If you have access to a boat, it's even more convenient.
The staff are all friendly and the restaurant is quite good. There are a number of other good restaurants within easy walking distance but the hotel restaurants offer good food and fabulous sunsets.
The suite we requested had the marina view with an expansive

By far the best place to stay in Bellingham! The staff went out of their way to accommodate! Every employee from the waiter at the restaurant to the the front desk were helpful and friendly! The rooms are spacious and clean! If you are looking for a romantic evening or just a night to relax, there is a jacuzzi tub for two and a fire place! Bath bombs are even available! The bed and linens are luxurious . My room has a balcony with a beautiful view of the marina and Bellingham Bay. The general manager Jim, runs an excellent hotel! The only place I'll stay in Bellingham!

Perfect place to stay in Bellingham.
When I first checked in to my room, it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The front desk was quick to move me to a different room which was MUCH appreciated (and smelled much better)!
There is ample space to enjoy the gorgeous view. Have your breakfast on the patio at Lighthouse Bar & Grill, grab a book and read outside in the sun on one of the huge couches, or soak up the last hours of daylight by the fire pit.
My evenings in Bellingham were pretty casual after long days of exploring - so I was pleased to learn the front desk offers a selection of DVDs

Beautiful vintage hotel with gorgeous views right on the water. Sushi restaurant right out side the hotel. Other restaurants nearby. Awesome place to hike or go for a long walk. Large comfy bed, jacuzzi tub, lots of bar snacks and a quaint patio. Dog welcomes you at the door. Bar and restaurant downstairs(didn't try the food.)
Cons: sheets were stained and carpet a bit dusty. Gym is across the hotel lobby so you have to go outside and no restroom in gym.

What an absolutely beautiful home away from home! From the location right on Bellingham Bay to the lovely, comfortable rooms, this is the place to stay if you find yourself in Bellingham.
We have stayed 10+ times at the Bellwether and each time have been treated like royalty. The executive suite is our favorite room with a gas fireplace, sitting area, king size bed with European down duvet and spacious bathroom with jacuzzi.
Luxury at its finest in a quiet area of the city.
