My wife and I spent 3 nights total here last October as part of a trip to Arches, Canyonlands and Dead Horse state park. We enjoyed our stay, as the room was clean, well priced, great location, and staff were friendly and helpful. But be forewarned, there can be some quirks here. For the first 2 nights we couldn't get our key card to open our room, which was a pain! Hotel staff couldn't fix this. And then the water shut off for a while around our 3rd night. Definitely some quirks, but the above, plus the nice clean pool make it worth it. Would recommend to a friend.

Absolutely amazing location. If you book directly with them, they include parking, so I recommend that rather than a 3rd party website. The staff is courteous and the place is clean. The pillows are definitely not great, and the shower makes a lot of banging noise, so those are the downsides. Overall, a great value.

An older hotel but clean and quiet. Very close to everything downtown. Helpful staff. Workout room. The bathroom faucet leaked and the shower temp changed randomly. But the heater kept the room warm but not hot. And the view is great. The bed is comfy and the furnishings are modern. Had a mini-fridge.

The 1 star rating is for the location. Hotel is pretty out dated. NO breakfast available. But that's not the biggest thing to me. When reservation was made they told me there was 18 wheeler parking which there is one spot available but it's first come first serve. So if a lifted truck or tall van beat you there, there is NO parking for a paying guest. Staff was RUDE and absolutely NO help to help me locate truck parking in downtown SLC, my only help came from the overnight security guard who was a huge help and found me parking really close to hotel.

I think this place has seen better days but for the value and where it's located you can walk to everywhere in downtown Salt Lake City. 13th floor has views and they are interesting Northside has views of the mountains in cityscape what the southside has views of downtown landscapes skyscrapers and the city. $10 per day parking is kind of overkill but I guess most downtown areas charge for parking. Honestly didn't use my rental car that much all and probably used half a day of my rental car. As everything was in walking distance even the Hammons grocery store, got my steps here for sure

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ .ᴄᴏᴍ when booking any room. This site will compare countless booking web sites and typically will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the most well known in the area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely will love it I'm sure!
Very reasonably priced for such a prime location. Very clean, courteous front desk stuff, has all amenities you'll need for a short or long stay. If I visit Salt Lake City again, I'll stay here. Thanks!

If Location and convenience were the only factors, this would be a 10. Employees were exceptionally helpful. Trax train right outside the front door. Museums as well as downtown and Temple Square, all right there.
Pricing was exceptional.
Only drawback was the very old and dated decor and carpet.
I will definitely stay again.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! It is dated and the staff are rude. My colleague left his shoes in his room when he checked out. When he went back to get them the front desk told him they would be in lost and found however they could not access it because housekeeping had gone home. He asked them to have the shoes ready for me to pickup in the morning. When I went there, no one know anything about it and blamed the night shift.
When they found the shoes, the manager came out and was extremely rude to me instead of demonstrating empathy or concern about the lack of service. On top of that the place

The worst hotel ever. Stole my money because I demanded to cancel my reservation due to my filthy room, no housekeeping services, non working appliances in room, strong odor on 9th floor and inside my room. Didn't even stay one hour and hotel agreed to full refund to hotels.com manager. Chris, the hotel night manager, lied to my face that we checked out at 8:30 when we actually left at 7:00. I was eating dinner at restaurant at 8:30. Now restaurant manager has to speak to hotel manager so Chris can be reprimanded. Pathetic customer service. Who argues with a guest and tries to be vindictive

Looks like a nice hotel with great views... service was poor to say the nicest.
No real parking for a trailer or camper, we were offered street parking a mile away, or behind the building in a tight alley. We went for the alley as it was closer. They front desk didn't even bother to let us in the back door after we said we would park back there. Security guard just sitting too. Walked back around the block to get back in...
Zero breakfast, although advertised..
Pool/hot tub still closed, but the rest of the country is open...
Room wasn't bad but I would find another place with friendly

Horrible experience. Provided Wade at front desk with medical exemption and was told it was fine however on multiple occasions I was yelled at across the lobby and in front of multiple customers that I had a medical "excuse". My privacy and the fact that I have a disability were publicly disclosed in front of other guests by the same fron desk guy. I was shamed and hollered at on multiple occasions. Hands down the most hostile and disappointing experience I've ever had at a hotel

This is by far the worst hotel I e ever stayed with, and I urge anyone thinking that just because this hotel is "downtown it must be nice". The staff is rude, and after I made a hotel reservation for three nights I checked into the hotel yesterday but somehow they charged me a "no-show" fee. Every after talking to the manager than continued to deny. I would rather stay at a crack house then this hotel.
....P.S. it's very dirty

Super Disappointed. Here is another independent hotel (i try to frequent indy's) and they really contribute to the stigma many "unbranded" hotels fall under.
1. It is very loud, these less expensive unbranded places seem to attract the families or couples that are NOT getting along. Plus the fact the TRAX is right out the front door doesn't help. The train makes Automated announcements all day and night, and even on the 8th floor, I heard every one of them, and finally the elevator dings LOUDLY at every stop. my room was immediately outside the elevator, but so were 4 other

I spent a night at this hotel recently and I was extremely dissatisfied. From the start we went to check in and were told that despite the website stating complementary parking, that they changed that the week before we got there and we had to pay $10 a day for parking. The lady at the desk was extremely rude and there were other guests at the desk complaining that they also were not getting the complimentary parking that was promised in the website. After that we were given our room keys however we were then told that the keys were for the wrong room and we needed to get new ones. Lastly, the

Just parked the car to check in and I fell walking up to the front door. My husband asked the lady at the desk if she had any ice available and she said no and went about her business. Then I chimed in a asked if there was anything cold and she pointed to the food shop. I scraped up both knees and the palm of my hand plus tore my pants.
I'm disgusted by that service. I fell on your property and you couldn't care less.
Nice room horrible hospitality

Let me first off start this review by saying I am giving them the benefit of the doubt with four stars as I write this.
I'm grateful that they allowed us to check in at 1am, so bless them because driving from Redding to Salt Lake City was a mission.
The staff was extremely polite and courteous that I shared a good memory with them.
Now my struggle.... the shower was ghetto rigged and caused a steady stream to stray on the ceiling. Which caused an annoying puddle after I got out of the shower and that spray is distracting from the shower head too

Stayed here for one night but was one of my best nights since a long time. My room was clean and comfy. I fell asleep immediately. I booked the cozy queen room and it totally was enough for me as I traveled alone. Check in was normal and check out was hassle free. I stayed around one hour in the lobby before heading to the airport. It is little bit out dated but it has a character to it. For sure recommend this hotel, did not eat breakfast as it costs extra. One thing to consider is to be careful when wandering outside at night. Many homeless and interesting people walking around. Did not feel

It was nice. Old style hotel. Everyone was pleasant the rooms were nice and clean. The only complaint was the bath tub was dirty and there were some soap stains on the wall like they didn't really scrub the tub down. They also use dispensers for their shampoo, soap and conditioner and the conditioner didn't really work. I tried pumping nothing came out. Besides that wouldn't mind going here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Salt Lake Plaza Hotel for six nights, and found the hotel to be perfectly acceptable, albeit not amazing. Here's what we liked and disliked:
Liked:
- Location, location, location. In terms of proximity to Temple Square, you can't do any better. We timed our visit for Pioneer Day, and the hotel is mere blocks from the start of the parade route. It's also close to bus and light rail service, and is an approximately 15 minute walk to FrontRunner (commuter rail) access at North Temple Station.
- The quiet. In the lobby and hallways, my husband and I

This was my first time in Salt Lake City. The hotel was reasonably priced and located right accross the street from the Mormon Temple. Close to state capital and downtown shops.
I requested top floor with a great view when I booked the hotel and they did a great job. The staff was friendly and the facility was very clean.
There is a little gift shop if you like any souvenirs
Express check out is awsome .
