Their spa is a must-do, especially if you’re visiting for a ski trip! I did a 50-minute massage with Crystal and will absolutely be coming back for a longer one on my next trip. Before and after your service, you have access to the pool, hot tub, steam rooms, sauna and showers, and they validate parking for the hotel garage.

The Grand America knows customer service. From the tiniest detail, service was impeccable. Suite was spacious, bedding comfortable. Where this hotel delivers is service and food/beverage options. 24/7 in room dining, lovely restaurant choices, afternoon tea, and every interaction we had with the team was wonderful. Laurel restaurant was a treat! Service exceeded our expectations. They made our stranded-in-SLC situation (flight cancellation) feel like an extension to a lovely vacation, as opposed to travel purgatory.

Nice rooms. So so area. The Laurel restaurant is overcrowded, the food is bad and over-priced. Stay at the hotel, but eat somewhere else. Breakfast for 2 is $80… so beware.

Each year we attend the Window displays at Christmas time. Thankfully they had them after a year break from Covid. They are masterfully done and a beautiful and fun event. The hotel is gorgeous and always clean and the staff are pleasant and helpful to the many guests coming through.

One of the nicer hotels in Salt Lake City. Every time we have been (which is one to two times a year) our room is never ready when we go to check in (which we always try and check in after the 3pm check in time). Disappointing for such a nice hotel.

Afternoon Tea at The Grand America Hotel was a beautiful experience as far as the atmosphere...it could not have been more lovely. I thought i had found the PERFECT experience to have with my grandchildren, and my daughters...something we could ALL enjoy together, as we have both vegan, and non-vegan in the family. When i found out that this hotel offered both, i was SO excited! We had 2 adults, and 2 children in our group of 9 that are vegan. I did not think to inquire about exactly what was on the vegan menu, because i have had vegan scones, vegan lemon curd, vegan cream, vegan finger sandwiches

This is a review of the afternoon tea.

Ambiance is a 5. There's a harp playing and the hotel is very nice, it's the perfect place for afternoon tea.

Service was maybe a 2 or 3. They were very nice and attentive but don't know how to properly deal with issues. One of our teacups was very dirty so we had to ask for it to be replaced and then one of the cucumber sandwiches had a hair embedded in it. They replaced that as well but never addressed either incident.

Food was a 2. We enjoyed the dandelion chai and the hot chocolate but didn't particularly like any of the food.

I recently went here for their Brunch Buffet. The food was excellent and tasty. They had various dishes, varying from Customizable omelettes to freshly made grilled swordfish. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. They had live music playing which made the experience very soothing. The building itself was very spacious and fancy. I highly recommend coming here.

Our stay at the Grand America was absolutely monumental! Such a gorgeous hotel, especially around Christmas time. The Christmas and Nutcracker decorations throughout made every moment even more special. We are definitely making this an annual tradition!

We went to the Grand America Hotel Friday night for my husbands work, Onset Financial, Winter Gala for breast cancer awareness. There was a sign saying event parking on the south side on 600 S but we didn't see it until we were already in the left hand turn lane. There is an entrance to the underground parking from the main entrance. After parking we went up to the ballrooms and enjoyed some hors d'oeuvres. The ballroom area we were in was big and there were around 70 tables seating 10 people each. They had 4 areas for the buffet area, stage, and stage for the musicians. I loved all the

I stayed in a top floor suite and i didn’t mind the cost. But for the only five star hotel in Utah I am really disappointed by the room. No modern amenities like a simple wireless phone charger. Very old fashioned decor. Something for my grandmother vs something for any modern person. I think the Marriott would have had more to offer in a suite. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. It does have a great view of the east side of Salt Lake City.

My family goes to walk the Christmas windows within the hotel every year and my kids love trying to spot all the scavenger hunt clues within the windows. We also love to see the massive ginger bread house and read through all the ingredients used to make it. Great family or date night activity. There is also a great gift shop, spa, club lounge and a restaurant that is a bit pricey but well worth a visit.

Whether we are staying the weekend my husband and I, or bringing our entire family. We always enjoy our stay at the Grand. Winter Holiday season is beautifully decorated & we are so excited to book this seasons trip.
Our youngest favorites have to be breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and of course the window scenes.. She could spend all day getting lost in their holiday wonder.
During the summer, it's almost impossible to pull my family from the Grand pool. The friendly staff, music and poolside lunch does make it hard, I have to admit.

Loved my time here!! I decided to book the 80 minute couples massage at 1:30pm before checking into our room at 3pm as a birthday present for my husband's 40th bday. We did a Sunday checkin with Monday checkout.

PRE-BOOKING
I recommend booking directly with the hotel because before completing reservation you can do special add ons like champagne, flowers, chocolate strawberries, charcuterie board, cake etc to have ready when you and your guest arrive to your room.

DAY OF CHECK-IN
The Grand America will send you a text message around 10am day of check in. I recommend filling this out before

About two weeks ago, I had a haircut at the spa, and had a massage the next day. Two of the front desk employees made fun of me, and it was offensive. But I stuck with it because I needed a haircut and a massage. The haircut was ok, but It was a phenomenal massage. The services, equipment, and rooms are awesome. It is like a maze of relaxation. The people actually providing the services are very, very good.

I did receive great service from one person at the front desk. She was helpful, smiled, and she was very efficient. Domingo was also very helpful, friendly, and just an overall great

This place is beautiful. Classically beautiful antique elegance. Rooms were large and comfy and nicely decorated. The hotel is nice to walk around. Nice bar area tucked away by the side of the courtyard, which is beautiful. We visited in the spring so the flowers were blooming and the grounds are really well manicured and kept up with. Located in downtown so very easy to get everywhere. A bit of a splurge but very worth it. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Always an absolute delight to stay here. The staff is some of the friendliest I have ever dealt with in regards to hospitality. They truly go the extra mile to make you stay and accommodations as pleasant as possible. The food is normally very good as well. We normally order room service and though it is pricey it is good quality. The one downside to this place would be the antiquity of the rooms but honestly the price to space is great and the staff are just amazing.

Finished the evening with mock tails and an excellent chocolate dessert. The mocktail is one of the best I ever enjoyed with berries, ginger and lime. Very refreshing. The chocolate tart was decedent and enjoyed the filling topped with salt. The ambience was wonderful thanks to an excellent piano player Vilena B. It was a perfect way to end our trip overlooking the beautiful courtyard and the hotel is gorgeous too.

5 star rating for a 5 star hotel. I couldn't get over how reasonably priced this hotel is. I normally pay $400-500 per night for a hotel like this. I was able to get a room for $200 per night on Priceline. Family friendly. Indoor and outdoor pools. Saturday and Sunday tea time (reserve a month ahead) Incredible Sunday buffet brunch. Located in downtown SLC. Really cool old world European vibe. Chill lounge area with drinks and food. Great cocktail menu at bar. I could've almost spent my entire weekend at the hotel. Lastly the customer service is also five star. It's what you would

This hotel is pretty amazing with the fresh flowers in the lobby to employees. The rooms are quite roomy and classy. Think old world french with the tapestry's and crystal chandeliers. The suites are worth the extra space. Indoor pool is fun and full of locals celebrating some sort of special occasions. I personally love the spa and think it's worth it if you want to pamper yourself. The hotel offers all kinds of food from the lobby lounge to earls. Le bonne la vie is on premise so go get your pastries on! Cute little shops too that offer great window displays in the Christmas

I loved the hotel. Great service, very clean, great spa, great theme. This is my second time visiting the hotel. My only issue with this stay was usually the spa is only open to people who have a reservation for the spa. But when I went in March. The spa pool was full of kids doing cannon balls. I don't mean to sound like a Karen but when you think of spa you think of relaxing and quiet. But it was the opposite. The worker at the pool seemed embarrassed and overwhelmed. When you spend that kind of money for a spa you would assume that things would've been more under control. Other then

The hotel is very lovely, however their double standards for different guests is not appreciated. Before my stay here, I called and was told that dogs are not allowed here (except for service dogs). That is fine, if that rule applies to everyone. However, one of the NBA players who is also staying here brought his rather large dog in to the dinning area without any issues. That is a complete double standard! Next time I will stay at the Montage in Park City. Yes, the Montage is more expensive, but at least they treat all of their guests fairly.

This was a fancy treat for the girls while we stayed in Salt Lake!

Normally, this is a buffet but because of Covid they had to be done differently. It is still an all you can eat buffet, but you order what you'd like (in multiple stages, of course). It felt like we were on a cruise ship and actually made our meal feel fancier!

The food was delightful!! The crowd favorite was the bread pudding French toast, but the lobster Mac and Cheese was also amazing!!

We were super impressed with the artwork on the dessert tray - it was almost too pretty to eat!!

Don't shy away from this because

This review is only for the afternoon tea service, I did not stay at the hotel.

Parking is nice because you park in the parking garage and take the elevator directly up into the lobby area where the tea is served. The parking is validated once you have tea. The lobby area and the lounge where the tea is served is nice and very upscale feeling. The service was good but the couches are not the most comfortable or easiest to eat at. The tea was good, I really enjoyed their house tea. The food selection was average in regards to both taste and presentation.

The Grand America is a 5 star experience no doubt. With its central location, stunning decor, excellent service, and gorgeous mountain views you are sure to relax and get away for your cares. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is stunning with brass and marble, a large tub and shower and their signature pink grapefruit soaps are to die for.

We loved enjoying the pool in the evening with the hot tub, it was quite and beautiful.

The next morning we ordered room service breakfast. Overall I'd give it 3.5 stars. We got the waffles which we good but a little cold by the time they arrived
