Pleasantly surprised by the spacious interior of the hotel. The rooms felt warm and not the usual clinical feel that most hotels have. My wife loved the heated light in the bathroom. I liked the very comfortable mattress . The breakfast menu had alot of variety and the staff were helpful and friendly

Absolutely fantastic! Front desk clerk at check in was so helpful & welcoming. The service at the Falcon restaurant was awesome ( inside the hotel), Megan (i believe that's her name, she wore glasses) anyhow she was the sweetest & gave us fantastic service. She was zipping all over the place & still made us feel like we were the only ones there! Breakfast spread was a masterpiece.. best breakfast buffet variety at a hotel that I've had in a long time! Rooms could be updated, they're older but they were nice & clean. We had a good night's sleep. Overall I highly recommend this hotel. The gym was

Hard to believe that people stay anywhere but here when in CO Springs. Maybe the rooms are a little dated but very clean. The lobby is a welcoming place to relax. And it's very pretty. Bring the kids. Bring the dog. Don't miss the great breakfast buffet and awesome omelet station.

I am here right now and absolutely recommend this hotel. All of the staff is great, rooms are clean, plenty of hot water in the shower and the beds are so comfortable. They have a restaurant/bar that opens at 5 to 10 just wish it was open all day. Will definitely stay here again if we ever come back.

We stayed here in October for a conference in town for four nights. I will not be staying here again. When you arrive you see that the outside of the property looks messy , dirty and the parking lot in disrepair. The inside is interesting but dated. The hall carpets needed vacuumed multiple days. I don't think they are keeping up with the cleaning. Our room carpet needs shampooed badly, is dirty and has many spots. I found quite a few hairs on the bathroom floor and cleaned them myself. The bathroom is cramped and dated. The shower/bath the faucet was very hard to control the temp and get

A lot of thr reviews were not good BUT I LOVED my stay. Yes, it's an older hotel. It did not smell old. The beds were comfortable!!! The room was great. When I mentioned that I needed an elevator to my room they upgraded me immediately.
The breakfast was Amazing. Omelet bar, lots of choices. The staff was super friendly. I didn't use the pool but it's inside and looked amazing. Open 24 hrs.
I used the fitness room and it was great also. I will be back!!!!

We stayed two nights (not concurrently) in two different pet friendly rooms (traveling with a cat). The pet friendly rooms have wood floors. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast (included) was excellent - complete with made to order omelettes. The staff was wonderful. We had dinner one night in the on site restaurant (the Falcon) and it was very good as well. Would highly recommend!

Such a great stay! We were only in town for 1 night. Luke was great at check in and very helpful with dinner recommendations. Breakfast Thursday morning was great. Connie has a wonderful attitude. Omelet chef on 10.14 was amazing so yummy! If I’m in Colorado Springs I will for sure stay here. Only problem is the AC didn't cool very well in our room.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a hotel. This site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the best in the area. I've been staying here for years. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it.
One of the best kept secrets in Colorado Springs. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The breakfasts were outstanding. What a great way to start your day!

I was greeted with some of the friendliest hotel staff I’ve ever met! The kids loved the large indoor pool. The pet-friendly rooms have a nice wood-look luxury vinyl tile, which is awesome because it’s so cleanable! We can travel with our hypoallergenic pup and not be bothered by allergies to previous pets (or just questionable carpet like we’ve experienced at other pet-friendly hotels). The rooms were very clean, the staff was great, and they have free made-to-order breakfast! Highly recommend.

MAJOR SECURITY CONCERNS
Our hotel room was broken into while we slept, large amounts of cash as well as identification was stolen. We noticed an issue with the door, that it is NOT weighted like a regular hotel door and without additional effort, doesn't close properly. The door can even appear closed & locked when, it is not. Hotel manager was rude, condescending and acted as if we had made the entire story up. The hotel maintenance tech said, "you're not used to staying in a hotel that's this old". The police stated that there are about 10 regular people that walk

This hotel seems fairly nice on the surface but it is dirty. Lamps, fixtures etc were covered in dust. The pool was cloudy and I would never let my kids step foot in the “game” room that was dirty and destroyed. The beds are comfortable I will say that. I did check for bed bugs and did not find any. The breakfast bar was completely packed, no one wearing masks and everyone touching utensils and heating cages to open them. I definitely think they could increase the cleaning greatly and it would be a good place to stay.

My family and I stayed there for 3 nights. The first night we went to the falcon bar and grill for dinner. They brought my son’s pizza out on a plate with a dead fly on it. I brought the plate to them and showed them. Our waitress and the bartender did not apologize once. They did not offer to comp my son’s meal or discount the tab. The pizza… my husband and I had was not good. The $1 party pizzas are much better if you can believe that. My kids were excited about swimming in the pool. Well, that was a let down. The pictures in the website make it look nice, but it’s not

Pre-payed for two rooms. Only one of which was ready at check in, which was OK, went out to a nice dinner and took our time coming back. It was past 4:30pm and I asked for the keys to my other room. I was told it wasn't ready and I stood there waiting for some follow up dialogue which never came. My wife had a work meeting at 4:30 that she had to start from another room since ours was not ready. I was not told anything else so I just stood there near the counter waiting for any information or update watching all of these people getting checked into rooms while I have no clue what is going

Have you ever wondered what it might be like to travel back in time and experience hotels the way our ancestors did? Well, look no further than The Academy Hotel!

If you enjoy antiquated plumbing that has you guessing which flush will be the one to send you into panic mode, mopping up an overflow of fecal matter and tainted urine from consuming the questionable handmade cocktails from the night before, this is the spot for you! Should you attempt to clean up the spill, make sure that the SINGLE set of towels you've been given for the week has already dried.

Honestly it was very fun to go to! It had a pool, game room. Restaurant with a bar at night which made steaks as well as pizza and giant ice cream cones. Pool hours are great, lobby was comfy with many people… hanging out and the breakfast was awesome with made to order omelettes as well. Can’t complain and family wants to go back.

Had a pipe burst in my house and my insurance company put me up in this hotel. I requested them because of the indoor pool and even though my insurance company said they don't normal work with them they made an exception.

Once I got there I realized why they don't work with them. They wanted a $200 deposit for a few days of prepaid stay from an insurance company. For what?! They're a step above a Motel 6 if you ask me.

Cancelled the reservation and switched over to the Fairfield not far away. They're the same price for suites, they also have an indoor pool and no ridiculous

We enjoyed our stay at The Academy Hotel in Colorado Springs. The staff welcomed us with smiles and the morning coffee was delicious. Our room was spotless and the Keurig machine made wonderful hot chocolate. Breakfast was the perfect start to each days adventure. Every staff member we spoke with was friendly and knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to any one visiting Colorado! Thank you for taking good care of us, Jaycob and Carolyn Alumbaugh

The outside matches the inside. I had hoped that upon arriving and entering the interior would be more updated than the exterior hinted to - wrong.

Dated aesthetics, decor, carpet. Guests rooms are in need of furniture upgrades (bathrooms seemed to have gotten the most recent investment)

Breakfast while free is subpar
Dinner staff was kind and helpful but food was just "okay"

Check in staff was "ok" however an overnight staff member is unpleasant and needs customer service training - badly.

"Fitness room" is tight, dated equipment and feels ignored in terms of

We were visiting my daughter and new grandson and picked this hotel to stay at because of the features offered. We got in VERY late (2am) and past our check in time. I was a bit unhappy that we technically got in a day later than planned and they still charged us for the day before! When we got in, there was nobody at the front desk. After waiting a bit, a security guard appears and asked if we had been helped yet--we told him no and he went in the back to tell them. Few more minutes go buy and a man appears from the back. He checks us in, instructs us to put yesterdays date on the check

I gotta say, for the time of year that I booked my reservation, the pricing at this hotel was very reasonable. I arrived late in the evening and the young man at the front desk was very courteous and helpful when checking me in. Unfortunately, their credit card machine had been out of service that evening so it was a bit more of a convoluted process getting me checked in but at least they had my reservation.

From the looks of the lobby area, the hotel looked warm and inviting. I was surprised to see that the pool was out in the open next to the dining area. Pretty much everything about this

I was very happy with our families choice to stay here. From the outside it didnt look like much. Still walking in i was skeptical because of all of the construction. But I was so pleasantly suprised that given the chance I will be back.

Starting with the room, it was clean and perfect. The beds were wonderful and better than any hotel I have stayed in with my travels. The bathroom was small and to the point but the shampoo and items that were there were nice. They alao provided many options for a morning beverage in the room (doffee(red and decaf) tea, and hot cocoa).

The lobby was very

Just because you own a pet doesn't mean you should be treated like second-class citizen. It's a great idea to separate the pet-friendly rooms from the regular rooms. But the rooms need to be taken care of much better afterwards. We walked in and the room just reeked of urine and old musty smell. Everything just felt damp and old. We noticed hair in the mini-fridge and hair in the bathtub. The carpets stained of previous stays...it didn't seem like it was taken care of via steam cleaning or anything.
- We called to tell them of the room smell. They sprayed air freshner onto the carpet
