Service and margaritas 5 Stars.
Ordered a chicken chimichanga, (like I do at every Mexican restaurant). It definitely was not stuffed with chicken, and no other option on the menu other than beef. This was 1000% pork. Luckily, I like pork but I know a lot of people who do not eat it.

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Especially the manager, Maggie.
When I called to let them know they messed up my take out order, instead of apologizing and offering to make me a new order or provide a refund the entire staff proceeded to play Sherlock Holmes and try to figure out who made the order incorrectly. I sat there, on hold, while the person who answered the phone asked no less than 5 people “who made this lady’s order wrong”
Finally, I get annoyed and say “I don’t care who made it wrong! It doesn’t matter to me, I really just want this fixed” Maggie claimed I was “ignert”

The place is doing some remodeling so the exterior makes it look like it's not open. I ordered the fajitas and it arrives on a sizzling skillet. Alot of smoke, I mean A LOT of smoke. It was very tasty but the bottom layer was pretty burnt. All in all we had a good time and the food was ok. We'll be back

The food was excellent as always but almost everytime we go we get the same server. This would be fine if the service was good. Today we got our drinks and one was wrong. Not a big deal. But our server never came back after until well after our food had come out. We had to ask the person that brought out food for the cheese dip we asked for. And I'd normally say they where just busy but we watched him talking to other workers the whole time.
The food and drinks are good but sometimes the service leaves a lot to be desired.
Edit: it also took 10 minutes to get the check after being a Togo box

I ordered takeout on my work break and they got my order wrong, and were rude when corrected. We also had a surprise in our chip bag that shows they don’t clear their fryers very well. Incredibly disappointed and will not go back. It was not the first time they had messed up an order of mine either.

Was very disappointed. Place seemed dirty. The table we sat at was by a window and about half way thru dinner realized there was a huge cob web running from the window to the window sill and flapping up and down when the air conditioner blew.

Servers were pleasant and semi attentive. Food was very bland, and not much of it. I ordered the fajitas with rice and beans. The plate had maybe a 1/8 cup of rice, and the beans maybe a serving spoon full with a quarter size of cheese on top. Fajitas were not sizzling when they came out and the meat was cold before I could eat two tortillas. Tasted like

I was glad to have Mexican food as takeout and it was good. The only problem was that I ordered vegetarian and mine had ground beef in everything. It was too late to bring it back but I'll try one more time.

Best Mexican. We drive by at least 7 other Mexican places to come here, and have tried all of those. This place is the best, hands down.

This place just gets better each time I visit. The enchilada sauce is amazing! The nachos were just right amount of crispy, and the steak taco shell was grilled slightly and such a nice surprise. The pollo Cancun was perfect! Donaldo our server was full personality and very attentive. To top it off, they were playing the Stanley cup game 7 and dis not mind we stayed until the end.

We found this place by accident after dropping our boys off at Scout camp. I sure wish we lived closer.... we would eat here all the time. Fantastic chips and salsa, sangria margarita was to die for, shrimp dish cooked perfectly. No complaints! You must try!!!

La Casona is a hidden gem in High Ridge. There is nothing I would not recommend on the menu. The food is very authentic. My favorites are Chili Verde, carnitas and the homemade tamales (so good!)

In addition to the amazing menu the wait staff is very friendly. They always make you feel at home. One of my favorite places.

This is a lovely quaint Mexican restaurant. We enjoy eating here often. The staff is stable so when we walk in they recognize us and we recognize them. The portion of complimentary chips before the meal is generous. The selection is quite large. The cook has no issues making adjustments in the dishes to accommodate our needs. There are both booths and tables and chairs. The staff is attentive but not overbearing. This restaurant participates in the Spot On program. The parking lot is basically a gravel parking surface. The bathroom is small, but adequate for one person. It is handicap accessible

First time in. Hubs wanted nachos so we thought we'd try a different place. I know it's been there forever, but it's never really looked overly welcoming. Tonight was the night. We walked in and were greeted right away and sat down. The server came over right away and took our drink order. I tried the Sangarita. It's half housemade Sangria and half Margarita. Very refreshing! Fresh apples, an orange and a cherry. Hubs had the chicken fajitas, I had the Pollo Cancun (chicken w/ shrimp, onions, peppers and cheese sauce.) Daughter decided to join at the last minute, we ordered

Stopped here by accident! The husband & I were trying to go to the place up the hill but couldn't exactly find great parking for a truck & trailer. Came down from the stop sign and here there was a large, open parking lot! Great for us having to park a car, truck & trailer! We were quickly seated, our waitress came right over to take our drink order and chips and salsa were delivered. Chips were warm and salsa was cold. The salsa was a little bland, we asked if they had another spicy salsa & the waitress so no. It would be nice if they offered up another if you requested, but

Love the lime chicken. The staff is friendly even if some speak little English our food is always great and correct. The salsa is mild but you can kick it up with some hot sauce and it's normally on the table. Chips are crispy and hold dip well.

Colorful friendly place with pretty decent food. Our plates were brought out screaming hot which is a nice touch. (Ouch) Margaritas were spot-on with a good amount of alcohol. We ate upstairs as there is a downstairs also with outside dinning. This was our first time here and it looks like this could be a hopping place on the weekend.
Good food I would highly recommend eating here.

After living in High Ridge for 20+ years, we finally decided to try La Casona. We normally go to Que Pasa but thought we would give this place a try. As we rated, it's A-OK.

Pros: Food and margaritas were very good.

Cons: Quite a few.

1. The website and facebook page are outdated. We went there and tried to order the specials and were told that they don't have them anymore. We showed them what we found and they said they didn't know.

2. The portions are much smaller than Que Pasa. MUCH smaller. And if you want more than one basket of chips and salsa, it will cost you

I have to say that the outside of this establishment leaves a lot to be desired BUT the inside seems to have a flair that is both fun and festive.

The food however is what keeps me returning here, which i do enjoy greatly! I an a fan of most items on the menu but i gravitate towards the Cancun burrito, which is friggin delicious! The margaritas are also divine (love me a raspberry margarita!)

This place is the best Mexican restaurant around. Their margaritas are a must. The food is flavorful and you get a large serving. All of the servers I have encountered have been friendly, helpful and fast. I highly recommend.

Bonus: shares a parking lot with a gas station so you can fill up both you and your car! Seriously though, don't judge La Casona by the outside appearance or it will be your loss.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. We were there around 4:30. I had the American Taquitos (beef) which is an appetizer. So good! I will definitely be going back for these. My daughter had the vegetarian fajitas & she was very happy with them. There were green peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, onions & tomatoes. We both had to get doggie bags as portions were generous. Service was good. I can't say a bad thing about this place except watch out for the terrible pot holes in the asphalt! And that's not the restaurant's problem.
