This might be my new favorite bar in town. It's got a good amount of space, a bunch of games and tvs ans a deli attached. We got there too late to try the food but will be back to try it. The prices are exceptional. We even met the owner and she was great to talk to. We love going to the Axe House and it's just down the road so we will stop here every time we go now.

If you like seedy, smoky dives, this is your place. The BEST cheeseburgers and Willie Fries. Strong drinks. Low prices. The owner, Tracy, is the daughter of Village Bar's original owner and grew up in that environment, so cheeseburgers are the same awesomeness, but the Willie fries are thin and WAY better at MJ's. (Named after brother Willie who decided thin in the way to go.) Everyone knows your name after your first time in. Be prepared for no masks, smoke and extremely outdated surroundings....that's what makes dive bars what they are, no? :)

Stopped in here for lunch with coworkers last week. Food was great so no complaints there for sure. The owner served us and she was very nice, however she did not wear a mask. We all had masks on, even while ordering. The place needs some updating. I would go back, but after this COVID stuff is over.

It is definitely a bar type environment, which I like. As most everyone states, smoking is allowed. No problem for me. Nothing spectacular in the food. I had beer battered cod. It was ok, but I've had better. I tasted the chicken wings with sauce on the side, too. It was delicious!

This place is the quintessential Missouri bar. Like when Matt Damon and Ben Affleck do a reunion movie about a bar in Missouri. This will be featured. Live music. Surprisingly good. Classic rock. Old well worn dudes. Dollar bills staples to the wall. Limited menu. They refrigerate their glassware. Very rare. Like mom jeans on her derrière. Shoestring onion rings are really good. If you want to make a veteran move light up a cigarette at the bar and watch the staff slide an ashtray down like the scene in back to the future when he orders milk chocolate. The place is pure nostalgia. Time travel

This is a local restaurant to me in my town. It may not be the most eye appealing place but it's a place I've grown up around and everybody I know loves their food. I recommend you stop in here at least once and give it a try. No it's not smoke free and no it's not super updated but the food is hard to beat. It's delicious.

This place is a hidden gem! I love their spinach balls! They were an unexpected treat. My friend had been before and suggested them to me and I was not let down!
The waitress was funny and very warm in her demeanor. She checked on us several times and our cups were never less than half-full! (Talk about great service!)
They have a great selection of drinks and the place was very clean. I like the layout of the place as well. You can go be a part of the bar or have a quiet space away from everyone, which is great for meeting people or a first date. If you take someone there, suggest the spinach

Great dive bar. You can come in here with a party of six and order four pitchers of beer, two huge pizzas, two apps, and two other meals and only pay $90 with tip. Great place to come after Six Flags.
They got decent food. Everyone at the table really liked the pizza.
The poppers came out very very hot and took around 10 minutes to cool down, but were good and the waitress suggested a wing sauce with them, which was really good. The chips and salsa was Ok, nothing to rave about.
They got pool, darts, pinball, and arcade games. Think they had foosball.
You can smoke in the bar area if that

Well from the start... Upon entry we found a broken TV in the entranceway. Odd something you don't usually see, it doesn't top the toilet found outside the other restaurant I reviewed, but ok. Stepping inside the stale smell of cigarette lingers. It's quite dark inside, a few video games to the right, with tables in front and towards the back. It's fairly clean. As you walk further inside you have a choice to sit straight ahead, in the back or take a right and sit in another section near the bar. If you choose to sit toward the entrance you will find an old flat screen

Against my better judgement, I will "out" this place as one of my newest favorite "dive bar/food" joints.
Fried chicken special was AWESOME. Came with green beans, mashed potatoes AND GRAVY (man oh man...great gravy).
Better yet...I could smoke inside...yes...smoking is allowed, so if you don't smoke, don't bother...you'll just whine and complain.

Wow.....locally owned, and the owner, (Cathy, I believe), was a peach. I had a killer 1/4lb blue burger(crispy edges)with freaking awesome onion straws. GTHO! 20 oz Busch fish bowl to go along with it....I was in heaven. It is a smoking establishment, but 1/2 the place is not(and very tolerable, coming from an ex[-smoker). I will definitely be back!

I'll give it four only because of the smoke smell. And, yes, they could stand a remodel, but it's so "local" that no one probably even notices. The bartender/server, Sharon, was the best! She made sure I had my beer and tried some of their own appetizers. Most things are house made and taste like it...in a good way! I'd like to bring a group here, only because as an outsider you feel like you're being stared at, hahaha! The locals appear to love it and everyone seems to know each other.

Really really really good burger. Super friendly service from Tracy at the bar. The food was also really cheap. I had a burger with onion rings and it was only $8.30 put the door! That's with adding mushrooms on the burger. I came for lunch and the service was really fast. I will be coming back.
Only reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is because you can smoke in the bar area. Not cool.
