One was a contractor in logistics the other a chef in London and Paris. What they both have in common besides the love of good food is the love of sneaker & the Hypebeast culture. Years ago they met in Paris during a regular sale of shoes at the Place de la Republique. From this meeting, the pair launched into a collaboration of sharing their passion for food.
They started with pop-up restaurants with the aim of offering gastronomic street food to all, ranging of mixed recipes from different cultures & street food. Then they had a brainwave, resulting into transforming their Pop-up shops into a brick & motor restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles. From PARIS to LA, come travel with us as we take your tastebuds and experience through a miracles journey through our lives.

Food is authentic, creative and tasty. Great foie gras, the fish was super tender, the puréed veggies very fluffy. Duck confit was melting off the bone, delicious though a bit salty to my taste. As a bit of a novelty, from the dining room one can watch a live feed from the kitchen that gives you an overhead view of plates being prepared. Service was friendly and attentive.
Why not five stars: the bathroom wasn't exactly spotless even though we were the first customers of the evening (not gross, but wet in places you'd rather not be wet), limited drink menu (no beer, just wine; no decaf

The food here is extremely elegant and very delicious. I ordered traditional French onion soup and can easily state it's simply perfect. The best I have ever had. Ever!
I can't describe how tasty their lamb shank is. My wife tried the scallop risotto and she was blown away. Overall, 10 stars out of 5.

Okay so I wanna say the food was great, only lost stars because of the location, seating outside was a nightmare with all the homeless people coming up to me while I was eating, the area is also very the opposite of what I expected when I chose a restaurant with 5 star reviews. I felt the food was seasoned a bit too much for my personal taste but it was delicious nonetheless. A little pricey but I enjoyed my experience. The steak was cooked really nicely and the potatoes were too. I enjoyed the charcuterie board as well. I would definitely recommend sitting indoors and maybe visiting when it&apos

Best scallops I have ever tasted in my life. Everyone around the table (9 of us) ordered different appetizers and main courses, all more delicious than the next. Cozy and chill atmosphere. Reminded me of those tiny Parisian restaurants everyone is talking about. And by the way, the menu changes every week. Fun fact: you can see your meal being prepared on a screen in the corner. I highly recommend you try it out at least once.

The best hidden gem in DTLA. After coming back from Paris, I was so happy to find a place that creates amazing dishes that takes me back to my recent experience in France.
Since Eleanor and Maxence restaurant in Paris made the move to accept crypto payments. I'm hoping l'appart will accept crypto soon now that https://nowpayments.io/ made it easy. I'll be happy to spend my crypto here on a regular basis since I live so close.

A hidden gem! Went last night for dinner. Made reservations on Open Table and were seated right away. We had the escargot, garlic baguette, mixed salad, salmon entree, the filet mignon entree, and the apple tarte (with ice cream). Everything was cooked to perfection and delectable. I didn't think we would finish the apple tarte, but could not resist. All staff were friendly and attentive. The menu changes every Wednesday. Will definitely come back to try other items. Would highly recommend!

It’s a must try. It’s like a hole in the wall that just opened not too long ago and the dishes are prepared incredibly well. This is also the first time I’ve seen the preparation for each dish shown live on a TV within the restaurant, super cool experience. The small menu just speaks volumes as the quality of each dish is incredible.

So, my husband and I made reservations again before we left the restaurant for another date. September 25, 2021. Well, the day has come and I'm sorry to say it has gone...BUT the food again was incredible. It did not disappoint. At the last minute our reservation for two grew to a table for four. Precious was so willing to accommodate us, and we were grateful.
We had to bring our other self-proclaimed foodie friends. We brought the French wines and Marc, and Thierry created some amazing food. It was our friends first time and they LOVED it as much as we did...

Wonderful experience! It's nice to find another hidden gem in town. Felt like a locals place in the best sort of way and being that I am one as well I felt extra comfortable. It's especially a great date spot but I would go on any occasion honestly.
Our waitress was very polite and checked in on us many times. I started with the French Onion Soup which was very good although different than what I'm used to being they used white onions but the surprise actually made the dish more unique. I then followed up with the Beef Burgundy which was rustic and hearty and filled with delicious

Coming in off the street, it feels like stepping into a Parisian bistro. The place is quite small, just 7 tables (with a few more outside but we decided to pass on the view of the DTLA street), decorated in a cozy, quaint style. The soundtrack is Django Reinhardt/Stephane Grapelli, totally appropriate for the environment, and just our enough to muffle the conversations at nearby tables without being obtrusive. One interesting feature of the decor is the large TV monitor in the corner showing the feed from a video camera over the chef's work station. It's like a cooking show where

Great service, well prepared dishes with balanced yet sufficiently complex tastes and texture. Wines by the glass selection is not extensive but fun. Being able to watch the good be prepared on the monitor an uncommon experience. Outdoor seating is separated from the sidewalk with a fence to create some distancing from the regular DTLA

If you like excellent food then L’Appart is it. If you love French cuisine then L’Appart is definitely it. This unassuming #French #restaurant in the Historic Core of DTLA is worth a try. The food is expertly prepared and the service is great. The menu is relatively small and changes with the season but some of my favorites are the oysters, escargot, mussels, sea bass and the lamb shanks. Check them out! You won’t be disappointed.

Very unique and sophisticated menu items for quite competitive pricing. Their menu items include French, American, and (I believe) some Lebanese cuisine, which makes your experience here eccentric yet deliciously relatable at the same time. Every so often they come up with a new menu item too, to entertain the palate of those looking for something new.
The customer service here is also above and beyond. I truly enjoy every visit to Airfood L'appart and I have been coming here several times a year since it opened for that same reason. Thanks Airfood team for making every visit a unique and

Such a fun gem in the heart of DTLA. As you enter it's so cozy with fresh flowers and fluffy pillows to make you feel comfortable and ready to relax from a long day.
Brigette was amazing, she worked with our struggle on figuring out our drinks and helped us along :] she explained everything in detail and really made the experience more special for us.
The food was amazing, affordable and super delicious. The pictures don't do justice. The plating and also the edible detailed leaves they make were tasty, you can really feel the effort to make their guest connect with the food and experience

What a discovery.
My friends and I had a safe/socially distanced outdoor diner at AIR FOOD L'APPART and we were all blown away by the ambiance, the flavors and the service. The team is absolutely delightful and filled with passion for their craft. The service was warm, attentive, knowledgable. The menu is not extensive, not unlike any typical french brasserie, and every single one of the items on it is prepared with extreme precision and love (you can tell that by the gorgeous presentation of every single dish appearing on our table). Our table got lucky that night, as the Plat du Jour was

Incroyable ! I was a bistro owner in Paris for 10 years; I think i had the best beef tartare of my career yesterday with chef Thierry. Caesar salad was incredible too, and the Bourguignon that my friend ordered was just a perfection.
Congratulations and long life to this small restaurant who deserve 6 stars

I really enjoyed this place. I was promptly greeted, and the decor was super cute. I got to choose my seat. I chose I corner seat, so I could see everything. One thing I noticed and had never seen, was that there was a screen of what the chef was doing. That was super cool!!!!
My server (I think part owner too) was very kind and incredibly intuitive/observant. I'm already a happy camper! Service is everything to me! I had the onion soup, and the burnaan, which is Beef cooked for 6 hrs in a red wine sauce, served on a cheese Naan. I also had a glass of red wine.

Finally, authentic french food in DTLA!!!
This is one of the cutest additions to the downtown food scene. It is a "people sized" restaurant with just a few seats and the perfect spot for an intimate date or small group dinner with friends. The complimentary bread and butter is SO GOOD! I don't know why but I could eat two loaves. The escargot is authentic and packed with butter and herbs. If you love escargot or have never had escargot, this is a great place to try. The duck leg is also an honorable mention and cooked to perfection.
