I value balance. I believe in working hard - both in the gym and in life, but I acknowledge the need for rest and recovery. I seek to achieve harmony and help my clients do the same. As a United States Marine Corps veteran, I place heavy emphasis on grit and mental fortitude. People can conquer extreme adversity if they have the willingness to improvise, adapt, and overcome.
Built To Last Fitness offers several options to help you get into the best shape of your life. All training services include nutritional guidance. In-home personal training is the most exclusive service available. I will take you through effective workout sessions in the privacy and comfort of your own home.
I have been training with Matt for 2 years now. I have always been an athlete as well a spin instructor. I do marathons, triathlons and 200-mile bike challenges. I sought out a professional because I was getting stuck in my routine and I knew that as I age I would have to ramp up other aspects of my routine to ensure that I can exercise and stay injury free through my twilight years.
Ask ten people what is the best way to get in the best shape of your life and you'll probably get ten different answers. There is so much information on the topic, and even more opinions about it, that it can be overwhelming. There are only 3.5 components needed to build the ultimate you. They are best visually represented in my Fitness Triangle.
The above quote is often misattributed to Aristotle. While the spirit of the words may have been wholly inspired by Aristotle, it was William Durant, American philosopher, who wrote them in his 1926 book, The Story of Philosophy. Frankly, it doesn't matter who the hell said it. It's simple and it's true.

Top notch personal training! Matt’s functional assessment testing helped to tailor exercises for my body’s needs in order to correct any imbalances. He is vigilant with my form and does a great job inspiring workout intensity without causing over exertion and setting me up for injury. Matt also incorporates warms up and stretching to aid in recovery and avoid injury. I am highly recommending Matt to my Chiropractic patients and family/friends.
