El Jefe Catering was created in our home kitchen. As a family we always strived to make absolutely delicious food. Over the years it became a passion. Our holiday parties became extremely popular for the food and our personal touch. In 2012 we decided to share our Mexican cuisine with the rest of the world.
Our vision was simple "to provide our customers with the best Mexican food and personal service to your guest as if it were our family" & our golden rule "We will make it happen" Following that simple golden rule and adding excellent service, it did not take long for Los Angeles to take notice. If you call us today we will make it happen tomorrow.

REVIEW FOR CATERING
El Jefe (Spanish for "the boss") had a station at a catered event I attended. They were giving out large plastic containers of fruit with little forks to eat it with. It was really cute because they brought the cart and it was next to a table with the fruit. I don't remember everything that was in my bowl but there was a huge variety of colors and textures. I remember being really excited about the watermelon, mango, jicama, and cucumber in there but there were so many other fruits as well. All the fruit was really fresh and tasted wonderful. You had the option

I found this fruit stand on Westwood Blvd and Ashton close to the CVS Pharmacy. I believe they are open Mon-Fri, not sure about the hours, I went at 1pm.
The fruit is super fresh and the cart is clean. I got a big container of fruits with lime and chili for $5. Will be back again if I'm in the area.

This review is for the fresh fruit vendor that places his cart on the southwest corner of Westwood and Ashton. You can always find him with the rainbow umbrella.
There are quite a few street vendors around the area but El Jefe has more consistency in the quality of their fruit than the other places. He even has fresh coconut which most vendors don't. The fruits are always fresh and they are liberal with their portions, he always tops off the container plus some. He also has fresh limes, salt, and chili power to sprinkle on top. You have the choice of getting the fruit either placed in a bag
