I would not recommend this place.
Booked online. I apparently chose the wrong type of haircut out of 20 options. I was getting a hair cut and shave and they ended up booking two different people for that (?). Since my haircut was just a clean up, I would have been waiting awhile for the shave since he was already booked.
Confused yet? Me too!
Long story short, I ended up cancelling cause I didn't want to sit there waiting due to their weird system. The owner gets on with me and was heartless to the situation and referred me to the cancellation policy.

I have been following Estefanie everywhere she has worked at every since she first laid her hands on me while she was in beauty school. From color, to cut, to chemical services she always gives me exactly what I want. Consultations with her always are a little extra just so we both are aware of what is it exactly that we want the end result to be. 15 out of 10 will forever recommend

I went in for a haircut at 6:15 P.M and didn’t get started until 6:45. The person who cut my hair was working on me and another client at the same time? Even though you should only be cutting on persons hair at a time? And she made me get my hair washed and charged me without telling me it was going to be 75$. I just wanted a simple haircut. She also didn’t listen to what I wanted and cut my hair unevenly also cut my skin a few times. Absolutely terrible I can’t believe how it turned it out too. I could’ve gotten a better deal from sports clips and they would have actually listened to how

Love it here!!! Everyone is super friendly, it's beautiful inside and my girl Kelsey always does a great job. I'm usually blonde, but she is always happy to accommodate my requests to switch it up and go pink or purple. Today she gave me a whole fresh set of extensions and I am obsessed!
It's always busy in there, which must be a testament to the skill of everyone, you definitely get what you pay for over here. Can't wait for my next appointment!

Incredible! I've lived in Newport for 18 months now and have gone to a different spot for a haircut each time I needed one in search of the perfect haircut... I finally found it. Teresa was an absolute treat. She was thoughtful and took into account the texture of my hair before getting to work, providing me with suggestions as well. Not to mention the fact that she is hilarious, would've been worth it for the conversation alone! 10/10 reccomend.

I have had Andrew Dunn as my barber for the past couple of years now. Extremely friendly and skilled barber. Through my several different phases of hairstyles, Andrew has killed it with every cut. Every cut I get, I learn more and more about how to manage and style my hair. Definitely give him a try out!

Went in today by appointment to get my hair cut (needed an emergency fix) by Estef and she did such an amazing job! Not only was she extremely friendly, but also took her time to really section and cut every strand to perfection. This is probably the best haircut I've ever had. I will definitely be coming back!

I arrived and waited 20 minutes, which wasn't great but I had an appointment at the end of the day so I understand times might end up getting pushed back. However, then I was informed that my haircut would not be the rate I had made the appointment for - the $45 student rate - because that only applied to kids 13 or younger. Makes sense - I'm a grad student at UCI and I kind of wondered if that would apply to me ($45 definitely too good to be true! But maybe clarifying language on the website would help).

Nothing but good things to say about this place. I have been coming here for years and every time my stylist, Andrew, has blessed me with a beard and cut that I constantly receive compliments. And beyond that, his service here is impeccable. From the trim to the towel treatment, I am consistently enjoying myself. The service provided by Andrew is worth every penny and then some. Do yourselves a favor and make him your go to stylist!

Was looking forward to trying this place out after doing some research on Yelp. The salon is nice, clean & seems professionally run. The haircut by Andrew was decent, however the fading on the sides with the clippers was way off. Since it wasn't properly done there was a line on one side which should have been faded in. I contacted Andrew who had me come in to fix it. Unfortunately he faded it on the side with the line but didn't take the other side shorter to match. It was actually bizarre. I wish I had been given a hand held mirror to check before leaving. Without the correction

Moved down south from the Bay Area and needed a new barber / salon. Found A & O and was introduced to “T”. She is amazing and made me feel right at home.
The salon is always clean staffed with friendly people that really appreciate the business.
Quality wise, I don’t think that I’ve had a better hair cut ever!
Give these folks a try, you won’t be disappointed and don’t forget to ask for “T”.

This salon is so chic and adorable. Andrew trimmed my hair--he doesn't usually take ladies but it was a simple trim, so he made an exception. He did a great job and was super fun throughout the whole experience. And I got to drink beer throughout the cut! They also have wine. Also, he's fun eye candy. (:
Cassandra did my hair color (I wanted a little bit of purple), and it turned out great. She's really nice and really professional.
100% recommend this salon, def give it a chance if you're in the area.

I've changed over 10 stylists over 4 years until I found A&O Salon
The salon is really clean and offers free drinks. Location is convenient. It's not cheap but it definitely worth it to look good.
But the best thing about this place is Natalia! I couldn't be happier with her work. My haircut looks good for weeks and I get a lot of compliments on it.
Would recommend to everybody who wants to look great!

After a little bit of a rough start, this place has proven to me that they are the real deal. My initial visit had a bit of miscommunication and frustration, so Aly (the owner) reached out and offered to make it right. He gave me a comp cut with Ali (an awesome stylist) and it was perfect.
Not only was my cut exactly what I wanted, he showed me how to blow dry it, style it, and achieve the exact look I was going for. Top notch atmosphere, top notch service, and top notch cut. I may have just become a regular.

Finally a men's salon that exceeds my expectations. I've lived in Orange County for 2 years now and had my hair butchered by several different barber shops which shall remain nameless. A&O Salons was right down the street, so I decided to give them a try. Andrew recommended I let Natalia cut my hair and after 4 months I have not once left disappointed. I don't even tell her what I want, just sit back and let her do her work. 6/5 would recommend to anybody.

Met the owner Aly when I walked in. He was friendly and we talked for a little while. He didn't feel rushed, was comfortable to talk to, he offered me a drink and showed me around. Totally different than the salon I was going to before - not crowded, no loud music, just classy and comfortable.
Natalia gave me a great cut, hot towel and shoulder massage. Picked up a membership on the way out because it took the price per cut way down and included clean-ups in between.
