Dr. Smith received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree the University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio, and completed a two-year post-doctoral specialty training program at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston to earn the title of Specialist in Orthodontics. He currently maintains two practices limited to Adult and Children's Orthodontics.

Dr. Smith and team managed my braces nearly 10 years ago. I was very happy with my initial treatment and continue to be happy with my results. When I recently needed a touch up to my permanent retainer, they welcomed me back by quickly finding an appointment time and resolved my issue in one appointment. Dr. Smith and team have been consistently excellent over a long period of time--that's something to celebrate. They deserve kudos.

We love this place! Dr. Smith is such a nice man to my daughter and I. He goes out of his way to make sure his patients are happy and satisfied. He is super positive and very happy himself. I can’t recommend him enough. The staff is also amazing!!!! They are very friendly and also go out of their way to make all of the patients have a great experience. Dr. Smith is the excellent orthodontist for all three of my sons. In fact, we've had all three sitting in his exam chairs at one time. Each of my sons had different orthodontic needs and Dr. Smith and his staff excelled in treated all of them. My oldest was a very typical case, just some minor straightening to get the dynamite smile he has today. The middle son had already been seeing an orthodontist from Houston when we moved to Austin. Dr. Smith continued his care, including a mouth expander and braces. That son, also, now has a dynamite smile.

In an age where professionalism and customer care are vanishing before our eyes, Dr. Smith and is team are are a breath of fresh air. I had four children go through this office over the past decade and things always remained the same. This office put my braces on a while ago, but the problems from his permanent retainer I'm seeing recently bring back the smoldering bad memories. His attitude to patients was awful-- he talks down. He couldn't keep anyone straight. I see you every month, and you can't remember my treatment plan? The paper detailing my treatment is right next to you!!! He opened up gaps in my teeth, but never fixed it. They're now permanently held in place with a bonded retainer. Stopped by for a quick maintenance fix in permanent retainer and was in and out within 10 minutes. Holly and Kaitlyn were very attentive and helpful in resolving issue. I have been seeing Dr. Smith for my orthodontia work for almost 20 years. He is extremely professional, does amazing work, and truly cares about all of his clients. I'm very pleased with my smile and every time I go to the dentist for a cleaning, I get many compliments on it by the dental staff. Not only that, but Dr. Smith's staff is incredibly friendly and always take care of me. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth. :)

Dr. Smith was a great orthodontist. He educated me on the structure of my bite sparing me the expense and agony of years of premature wear and tear. The staff at Dr Smith's office that include Felicia and Holly made me feel welcomed and professionally cared for. I finished my 18-month treatment with success. I waited till my mid 40s to address my bad teeth and so I wanted to make sure I got with someone who was able to get me great results quickly. I am halfway through my treatment. To this point I would highly recommend Dr Smith both for his knowledge and for his desire to get things right. His office staff is excellent, and always pleasant to work with and my teeth straitening is ahead of schedule. I would definitely recommend Dr Smith to anyone wanting a perfect smile.

I rarely write a review on services unless I have an experience in service that is genuine and has far exceeded my expectations.
Dr. Smith and his office have done just that. He was my orthodontist when I was in high school, with a location that could not have been more convenient. Since then, I've had children of my own and moved away. As my kids grew and it became apparent that they had inherited my fabulous teeth (unfortunately) I took them for consults with a few other doctors who were convenient but the quality of care just wasn't what I had grown up with myself.

As a teenager, my teeth were as crooked as a dog's hind leg, but he straightened those puppies out! Moreover, he did so on the timeline and price (so far as I knew) that he told us it would be.
Later in life, I developed a grinding habit (too much boxing or rugby? work stress?), and I have come back to see him. This time I shopped around a bit for other orthodontists opinions, and he was still the best. Why? I worry that medical professionals in these circumstances will recommend the most costly treatment (e.g. another

Dr. Brian Smith did an amazing job on my son's teeth. He had multiple issues with his jaw and teeth but all I can say is WOW! We are so lucky to have him in Austin. As good as it gets. He's so good with the kids too and his staff are wonderful. Puts them totally at ease with the whole process.I was certain my son would have lines or discoloration on his teeth since he wore his braces for a long time but they were perfect. Smith might be able to make your pearly white straight but the quality of service and price is quite questionable. They consistently over charged me for both of my daughters braces. They also herd children through their offices like cattle and spend little time discussing plans and treatments options (that is unless you want to spend some more money and meet with him one on one - this could have easily been accomplished during a regular visit if he weren't rushing from one chair to the next).
