Our staff is highly educated and skilled in treating the simplest of orthodontic cases to the most complex.
Dr. Chen graduated valedictorian from the University of Texas School of Dentistry. After dental school, he furthered his education receiving his Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and Masters of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Chen served as the chief resident during his entire residency.
Dr. McCarty was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended St. Agnes Academy for high school and St. Edward's University for college. Dr. McCarty was valedictorian of her dental school class and received her D.D.S. degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry.
Upon completion of dental school, she continued her education to specialize in orthodontics and received her Certificate in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics and Masters of Science in Dentistry.Dr. McCarty served as chief resident during her entire residency. Dr. McCarty's life motto is to "smile often!"

At your first visit to our office, you will be greeted by our one of our staff members and given a tour of the office. We will then gather the additional personal information and preliminary clinical information we need and discuss your orthodontic concerns and goals. You will meet Dr. Chen and be given a complete orthodontic examination.
We value your time and understand the importance of minimizing time missed at school or work. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to keep on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately.

Dr. Chen was an awful orthodontist along with his staff. He seemed very nonchalant about the multiple concerns that I had with my braces which I had for 3 years. He was not gentle at all, was very short with his responses about my concerns and my braces journey. The team at the fallbrook location were very nasty to me while I was a patient and I even overheard them talking about me while I was in the chair having my adjustments done. I would not recommend this orthodontist at all. I probably only saw Dr. Chen 4 times in the 3 years that I was serviced for my braces, he was not thorough and I felt

I felt safe and very welcomed there. They made me feel as if I definitely mattered and held their word on everything they said. We were called in early, taken care of quickly despite the numerous amounts of people there, the assistants and Dr. Chen were all very polite, patient and helpful, and there was no discomfort at any point in time. I really enjoyed my time there! The office was spotless, comforting, and very inviting for its clients. Everything was done correctly and efficiently. Overall, my experience was flawless and I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Chen to everyone that wants that perfect smile

Super friendly! My daughter started to go here when she was 10. Was super nervous, and anxious. The Texas Orthodontist team has been incredibly supportive. Talking to her through the entire process, letting her ask questions through every step, the entire staff have been amazingly positive and loving walking her through this new journey! Highly recommend!

Dr. Stephen Chen is a very good orthodontic specialist, and a great human being. For people in Houston, our previous orthodontist Dr. Don Speck abandoned more than 500 patients, and we were one of them. Dr. Stephen Chen took us in and completed the remaining 6 months of my daughter's braces at no cost. And he did a fantastic job. We'll definitely recommend him to our friends and family.

From the moment I called to make my appointment, everyone at Texas Orthodontic Specialists made me feel very comfortable with the care I am receiving.
