A recent and exciting innovation in early detection of dental disease is the Diagnodent laser device. This is a small laser light that emits no heat which shines its laser light on a suspicious area and provides a numerical readout as to the existence of cavities. Laser light reflects off of the tooth differently when a cavity is present as opposed to when a tooth is healthy.
The intraoral (inside the mouth) camera is a small hand held camera which allows the patient to see what the doctor sees. It produces a large digital image, easily seen from chair side on a computer monitor. The benefits are many. First of all Dr. Silberman believes that a better-informed patient is a healthier patient.

Dr. Silberman has been my dentist for over 10 years. He is a most professional individual. He is excellent for routine care, complicated restorations, braces and pain-free work. I love his staff, his hygienist and him. Whenever I've had dental work, extractions, cleaning, x-rays or an emergency it has all been handled without stress and always at a reasonable price. I would heartily recommend patients of all ages to Dr. Silberman.
