In 1982, jewelry designer Brent Meade purchased the store from Lester and moved to its current location at 801 N. Perryville Road in 2000.

Yesterday I finally went to get a new battery for the Hamilton wrist watch that I inherited from my late father. I went to Gruno's Diamonds on Perryville. Ms. Victoria greeted me in a friendly, courteous manner and took it to their jeweler, who replaced the battery quickly and reset the time. This whole operation cost me only $14.00. The service was, again, friendly and professional. Worth another trip there when I need to shop for jewelry or service.

Gruno's expect the unexpected! I brought my now fiancé to Gruno's just to check out some rings so I was more confident in what she wanted. The plan to look quickly turned to a plan to buy when she picked up a ring and said she absolutely loved it. From here I commenced a plan to secretly buy the ring. With the help of Ida Eads it went smoothly! She was the best help I could have gotten! She was very thorough even though I told her we were just getting ideas and didn't have any plan to buy yet. She got her ring size as well as mine and walked both of us through lots of knowledge

Gruno’s in Madison is just exceptional. Susan and her team are welcoming, pleasant to deal with, and there’s a warmth about the environment that is hard to find these days. In this era of point and click purchasing, it’s refreshing to be able to deal with nice people and get the service that I think everyone deserves. I won’t shop anywhere else.

Came here for the first time almost 6 years ago for my now-wife's engagement ring and have had great experiences here every single time. They do a great job and finding exactly what you're looking for without selling too hard like some other stores. The employees are very personable, respectful, and don't make you feel hurried or rushed. They do fantastic repairs and cleanings and have a great selection of products from rings to watches. I got my own wedding band here as well, so they have excellent products for both men and women. Would highly recommend as the best jewelry store

I've been going to the Rockford Grunos for a few years now and couldn't be happier with their service and selection. I've made quite a few purchases; 2 Shinola watches, Alex and Anni bracelets & charms, William Henry knife, 14k child's necklace & pendent and had a 14k charm bracelet fixed, a 14k ring and a Sterling ring made larger. I usually see Angelique or Jessie, they are fantastic. I've never felt pressured to buy anything and they will always stay within my price range when showing me items. The goldsmith there also is great. If you need any jewelry repairs

I've purchased a few things thru Gruno's over the years. My big complaint is with their jewelry repair practices. EVERYTIME I go in there to get my ring cleaned I'm told by the salesperson that my prongs need to be re-tipped. EVERYTIME. Twice I was told told that right after having them re-tipped. Last week I went in there and again the salesperson claimed that they needed to be re-tipped and said he couldn't clean it because the stones would fall out. Then quoted me a crazy expensive price to re-tip the entire setting. I thought that didn't sound right so I left and went

As some of you probably know buying a diamond engagement ring can be a very stressful process. I had initially stopped at a few jewelers and was very disappointed in their selection and service. A friend then told me to Give Grunos a visit. I went to the store and was greeted by an extremely nice staff. I was shown several rings but did not see one that stood out. My salesperson Nick told me he could get some more Diamonds and setting options from his Madison store. He followed up with a several calls and was able to find me exactly what I was looking for within my budget. Grunos exceeded my expectations

Stopped in today to order my fiance's wedding band. There was not many other customers in the store when we entered. But right away, Rita greeted us and asked how she could help. We went to the wedding band section and she showed us all the bands available.
She was never pushy nor did she try to make us buy something that was out of our budget. She was helpful and friendly at all times. She even offered to clean my engagement ring while we were browsing.

My fiance and I have been to a few jewelry stores before finding our prefect wedding bands at Gruno's Diamonds. The store was gorgeous and my first impression was if they would give us good service but it turned out to be one of the best experience I had. We are young and most places we went to didn't take us seriously. My fiance and I was greeted once we set our foot in the store. The sales person that helped us was great. Went to the store to have my TAG Heuer watch fixed...was not keeping time.
First thing they insinuated was that it was not a real Tag...wrong! Granted it's older, but it is a TAG...this should have been a red light.
Jeweler kept it and retuned if "fixed"...was not any better at all, still losing time. Brought it back...said the only thing they could do was replace the inside, which they did...still does not work...and they told me there was nothing else they could do.
Sorry...no refund.

Misleading & typical used car salesman type. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I went to Grunos to buy an engagement ring for my girlfriend. I initially went here because of their black friday deal where you could get a free ipad for spending over $2500. I was shown 7 IDEAL cut Lazar diamonds (they made sure to stress the importance of a Lazar Ideal cut). I came back a couple days later with a printout of some comparable diamonds from an online diamond retailer. My salesperson Jen showed a diamond with the exact same specs as shown online....OR SO I THOUGHT.... after negotiating for what

Let's be honest. I'm not the best dressed or kept nice often, but I do shower and brush my teeth, smile often, and most importantly, I use my manners. To this end, I've found that most jewelry stores I enter, I am not necessarily greeted as a customer and more so as an annoyance.
Gruno's is not like these other jewelers.
We went to have two watches looked at, both not working and probably just the battery. We were greeted warmly by both employees working closest to the door and immediately helped by the young woman. After explaining the problem, she brought the watches back
