Pella Corner Animal Clinic
Pella Corner Animal Clinic is a privately owned, small animal veterinary clinic located in beautiful Hygiene, Colorado just west of Longmont. You can find us just north of the Pella Crossing trail and open space. We are a small group of experienced professionals dedicated to providing a personalized, relaxed, and quality experience for both you and your pet.

Pella Corner Animal Clinic places a major focus on exceptional patient care and client communication by providing compassionate, stress-free, high quality medicine. We are committed to maintaining the human-animal bond while we work with you and your pet by listening to your concerns and paying close attention to your pets needs.
Services
Our staff of professionals and support humans are here to assure your animal is cared for in the most humane and technologically advanced ways possible. We look forward to meeting your pet (and their human) soon. She knew she wanted to work in the veterinary field at age 8 when she spent most of her time with her dogs, cats and horses.
Here at Pella Corner Animal Clinic, we are pleased to offer a comprehensive set of veterinary services for our patients. We are proud to be able to serve the greater Longmont, CO area to give your pet the care that they deserve. We are a full service veterinary clinic here to take care of all your pet's needs.
Preventive veterinary care is the cornerstone of keeping your pet their healthiest so that you and your pet can have more great years together. Since pets age more quickly than people do, it is critical to have regular physical examinations done to assess your pet's health. When health problems are identified, a medical plan will be outlined to evaluate the problems in depth.
We offer a wide range of core and recommended vaccinations for both cats and dogs as part of our full-service veterinary care. Our compassionate and skilled team is prepared to guide you through getting pet vaccinations, making sure you understand not just the what but the why. Why Are Vaccinations Important for a Pet's Health?
What is spaying or neutering? Spaying is the removal of the reproductive organs of a female cat or dog to prevent it from being able to reproduce. Neutering also prevents reproduction by removing the testicles of male cats or dogs. In both cases, the procedure is performed under anesthetic so your animal will not feel pain.

A small, intimate veterinary clinic with a veterinarian, Dr. Russell, who practices "The Gold Standard" of Veterinary Medicine. I come from a Veterinary background, owning and managing a veterinary clinic in another state and I am well aware of the pricing structure of anything a veterinary clinic uses and what really is the Gold Standard of Veterinary care and the science behind it. It's easy to think that any veterinarian is milking you for money when they suggest tests and other services, but this clinic is honest and really follows AVMA standards. Some might think that veterinary

This is the first time my frenchie has had a dental with extractions and not come home in terrible pain. They did a great job in saving the teeth they could while limiting pain on the extractions. Thank you for your excellent care!

As a long-time client of Pella Corner, I never thought it would come to this, meaning that I would have to post a negative review in hopes that something/anything would get through to Dr. Russell. My guess is, that the review will be deleted by one staff member in particular, who has used the pandemic and curbside service to be allowed or take it… upon herself to make decisions that are far outside her scope of employment. In the process she gravely hurt - almost killed - one of my dogs. After I complained about her, things got exponentially worse. Now my quite ill dog does not even get

Adored this clinic when Dr. Cousin was there. My last experience with Pella in Aug 2020 was as follows:
My senior dog suddenly lost her sight and balance (she could not see or walk) due to a possible aneurysm or brain tumor. It was obvious she needed to be put down immediately. I called Pella in tears and explained the urgency. They told me they couldn't see her for 4 days. I called a random vet and they understood my situation and were able to see her in one hour.
The folks at Pella all seem like very nice and caring people, but when I needed them the most, they were not there for me

We just got a new puppy and was recommend this vet from our friends. Our puppy loves coming here (thank goodness) and we've been about 3 times since we got her. The staff is friendly, listen to our concerns about our pet, and answers all our questions happily. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a new place to bring your pets.

Wonderful veterinary clinic. I was visiting from out of state and they accommodated my pup for a rattlesnake vaccine and the booster, all during COVID. The staff and vet were so nice and extremely professional. I highly recommend this clinic.

I've never been to this practice, but the best vet I've ever had, Dr. Jessica Russell, just moved here from Denver. She is so compassionate and loved my dog Boomer. It was evident in her care for him. Super sad she moved, but for anyone lucky enough to go to this clinic, Dr. Russell is awesome! Best of luck in your new venture, Dr. Russell! You'll be missed!
