Manual physical therapy is a specialized skill of physical therapy using a hands-on technique as opposed to a device or machine. In manual therapy, practitioners use their hands to perform rhythmic stretching motions and deep pressure. These techniques are designed to mobilize joints by loosening up the restricted joint and increasing its range of motion.
What is Dance Medicine? Medicine is the science and art of preventing and alleviating or curing disease. Dance medicine and science is the application of these principles to the specific life and body of the dancer. As a discipline it investigates the causes of dance injuries, promotes their care, prevention and safe post-rehabilitation return to dance, and explores the "how" of dance movement.
Our physical therapists treat a wide age range of patients from newborn and pre-mature infants through adolescents and adults. Children can benefit from physical therapy in many ways. Pediatric physical therapy focuses on improving muscle strength and function, facilitating motor development, and improving fitness and overall wellness.
We believe in caring for the whole person, both physically and emotionally. Our therapists are specifically trained to meet these special needs on a behavioral and therapeutic level. Pelvic floor physical therapy focuses on strengthening and/or relaxing the muscles of the pelvic floor. This is a specialized type of physical therapy.

I would for sure give this place two thumbs up and recommend it. The facility & staff are very accommodating and helped me wherever they could and even went out their way to assist me whenever I needed it. Now I am confident, focused and healthier than I've ever been. I know the learning isn't done, I have more learning to do daily for the rest of my life.

Susan Underwood helped me many, many years ago (1990's). I still use the same tools today to ward of the effects of fibromyalgia. I am eternally grateful.
