Everyone takes on multiple social roles in their lives. For example, you can be someone's coworker, friend, or someone's husband/wife. It's very easy for us to try our best to provide tenderness and kindness to other people, but it's not so easy when it applies to us as we may think that we "don't" deserve that.
Do you always feel anxious in the social gathering and worry that you may say or do something wrong and feel embarrassed? If you can nod to one of above questions, then you may benefit from self-esteem boosting counseling. People with low self-esteem are lack of confidence and they think little of themselves.
Jon Kabat Zinn is the founder of MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction). He gave an explanation of mindfulness in which he said "mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and non judgmentally." Based on Jon Kabat Zinn's description, we know mindfulness is about being aware of your thoughts, feelings, and body sensations and bring full awareness to your internal and external experiences.
We are trained professionals. Unlike friends or family members who are unable to be objective, we are trained and are able to observe you without bias or judgment. We are able to listen to you attentively and can capture your blind spots so that you have a better understanding of your situation. In other words, the therapist is like GPS with you as the driver.
I am in-network with BCBS and I am considered as an "out-of-network provider" for other insurance carriers. If your insurance is not BCBS, the services may be eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits, HSA, flexible spending account, or other health care savings accounts. Treatment is on a weekly basis, but I am available to provide intensive therapy (meeting 2 or 3 times a week) to meet your needs.

Alison was my supervisor during my internship as a graduate school counselor. I am now a fully certified counselor in a private practice. Alison helped me develop a solid foundation for counseling both adults and children. She both challenged me and supported me in my growth and knowledge, and called me out when necessary. I gained a lot of insight from Alison in how to be more effective and develop stronger relationships with clients. I highly recommend her for her knowledge and commitment to her clients.

I'm so glad we found Alison. Before my teenage son started doing therapy with Alison, he had seen another therapist who didn't work out. After just a few sessions, he refused to go back to the first therapist because he said it made him feel even more stressed out. It's been a completely different experience with Alison. She's skilled and developed a good rapport with my son quickly, so he actually looks forward to their session every week. She's helped my son learn coping skills that have really helped him with his anxiety and problems with school. I highly recommend her.

Before meeting Alison, I had never met with a therapist, so I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. It turns out that my first session with Alison was great! Alison's professionalism helps me get a different perspective on things which is just what I need. I know I had found the right therapist that I can trust. I have been working six months with Alison. She is genuine and open-minded, which is the part that I like most in the session because in this way I never feel judged and am willing to talk about things I normally don't share with others. With the help of Alison, I have learnt a lot

Alison is an excellent therapist. I've been suffering anxiety since college and it just got worse after I started to work. My job is very stressful and anxiety was making it hard concentrate at work. That's why I decided to see Alison. She's very compassionate and insightful and helped me identify my issues and what I needed to work on. I also like how organized she is and that she gives me homework at the end of each session so I have something to work on between sessions. I'm feeling so much better now and can't emphasize enough how grateful I am.

Terrible experience. She went on vacation half way without leaving an emergency contact, then said it's just within the treatment plan for me to go to the emergency room of my school hospital after lacking support for around half a month and encountered some emergency, and then I stopped the therapy with her under the arrangement of the hospital. She actually admitted herself that, having communicated with me for 3 months, she didn't have a treatment plan yet and thus can't provide any explanation to my school for a mere couple of days' extension. The school hospital psychiatry department then

I really enjoy working with Alison. I have been seeing her for 2 years and she is really caring and supportive. I can't remember how many therapists that I tried until I found her.
Alison is very insightful. When I feel stuck in the situation, I appreciate that she always can find a different perspective to things which gives me the courage to keep it going. She has also great patience and is knowledgeable. If one approach doesn’t work she will try others while maintain a smooth flow in conversation and therapy. She always reminds me it takes time to make change, which gives me mitigation to

Alison is a wonderful therapist, very compassionate, caring, and skilled. I began seeing her several months ago and I'm feeling so much better now. I had never seen a therapist before, but I'm so glad I found her. Alison helped me learn concrete strategies and tools that have really helped me. I'm much happier now. She's very professional and knowledgeable, and her office is also convenient to metro. I highly recommend her if you're looking for a therapist.
