Dr. Cohanim, Patricia, and Jessica made the entire "adult-with-braces" experience not only bearable, but almost enjoyable. They are all patient, kind, informative, well educated professionals who gave me many options, flexibility, and guidance through the whole process.

Just finished my first appointment with Dr. Cohanim. Through my interactions with him and his staff (we have a professional relationship) I knew he was very knowledgeable, the staff was friendly and that the treatment would be top notch.
What I was surprised by was the price!!! For a downtown Seattle provider I am in shock of the affordability. Good on Dr. Cohanim for providing his services at an affordable rate for all.

My family & I have been cared for by Dr. Cohanim & his wonderful staff since 2001. Initially my ex-husband & I began our treatment. After such a pleasant experience we referred my younger sister who at the time was seeking an orthodontist. Then once our children were old enough we took them in for their consults. I have a complex set of concerns that stretch well beyond basic orthodontia and have intersected with multiple oral health providers over the past few years. His service has shone above all others. I would give (and have given) anyone a referral to Dr. Cohanim. I was hooked from the first appointment when I walked in the door and found one of my favorite people sitting behind the desk (Patricia, formerly of Guy Roberts, DDS). Then Shanda and Jessica reaffirmed my feelings by being so friendly and professional. Finally, Dr. Cohanim clearly knows his stuff. He is very direct and not longwinded. Ok, his timeline guess for my care was off by a bit- but that is more a problem of my mouth than his estimate- lol.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Cohanim for the past three years. Dr. Cohanim has a quiet, relaxed demeanor that my daughter appreciates. The staff is friendly and the office is modern and has lovely views of the city. The patient base seems to be primarily children and teens. In talking to other parents in the waiting room, this is very much the Bertschi, Bush, SCDS, and UCDS set which is somewhat amusing. The quality of care is excellent, and as a professor at the UW, I believe Dr. Cohanim is up on the latest techniques.

Bobby and his team of Orthodontic experts are our first choice when sending patients to an orthodontist in the First Hill area. Just an update, I completed the orthognathic surgery part 3 months ago and it all work out great. It actually healed up a lot faster than I expected and I've experienced no complications whatsoever. The first week or so after surgery was a bit rough, but it's surgery, so I was somewhat expecting it.
It's all downhill from here with only a few more months of invisalign. Overall I have had nothing but a positive experience.

I came to Dr. Cohanim for Invisalign, and I am almost done. I really feel like his main priority is making sure my teeth are perfect. He has gone above and beyond (ordering extra trays, scheduling extra check ups, ect.) and really made sure the results would be fabulous.
The best part is, I was quoted a price for my perfect smile, and even with the extra trays, extra xrays, and extra check ups I was not charged an extra dime

Two of my young children are a year into what will likely be years of treatment with Dr. Cohanim. I feel like they are in excellent hands. The staff is extremely professional. The office is comfortable, clean and open. Dr. Cohanim answered all of my questions and never seemed rushed. I appreciate that he's a professor at the UW which means to me that he has the most current information about advances in his field. I've felt as though when there were options about treatment that the pros and cons were well explained so that I could make an informed decision for my kids.

I've had a vastly different experience with Dr. Cohanim than the other reviewer. I had previously visited another orthodontist but didn't feel like they listened to my concerns. At Smileworks, however, Dr Cohanim and his staff were very patient with me, listening carefully to my questions and talking through all my options. This has continually been the case throughout the past 9 months that I've been a patient (I'm doing invisalign braces treatment). I have been experiencing serious bone loss because of my crossbite and underbite for awhile and finally am in a position to do something about it. I was referred to Dr. Cohanim by my awesome perio.
I didn't like his attitude, at all. He barely looked at my mouth before telling me I needed surgery to break my jaw. I knew this was always a possibility, but this is a serious procedure and something I want to avoid at all costs. He dismissed any of my concerns (going under, healing, complications, possible nerve damage) and just kept repeating that I needed the surgery.
He also mentioned that
