Li's Asian Gourmet

3 months ago, I gave them a very good review. The last 2 times we've gotten take-out, I've been very disappointed. They changed the fried rice to house rice (not very tasty) and the appetizers (which have shrunk in size)were so bad we threw them out. The main course is now smaller, with more rice. Very disappointed! We will start looking for another restaurant.

Wish I could Do ZERO STAR This place is Absolutely Horrid and always Greasy! Terrible rice that’s never Fried. Just Disgusting and Inedible! Would be Easier to Just Throw 30.00 out the window! Same thing!

Since I reviewed this place has changed for the better. Changing 3 to five stars. They improved on most of the stuff that was not good. Its all pretty good now. Fair prices. Lady knows my voice. She is a sweatheart.
Ladys super nice. Foods ok. Skimpy on the food for fast Asian food. Get the same plate in derry dollar cheaper double the grub. Haha. But i keep going there. I would avoid the chicken teriyaki. Taste super weird, not like teriyaki. I usually get boneless spare ribs, beef teriyaki, wing, fingers, orange chicken.

Finishing my food in the car because the husband beeped at us from his car at 9:30 on the dot!!!!! We turned and asked if we should close the check and the woman said yes and already had her coat on, and as we left she followed us out closing the restaurant behind her. We also heard the man yelling in the kitchen while eating our meal. Terrible experience.

New to town and tried Li’s for the first time tonight (New Years Day). Food was prepared quickly and very reasonably priced. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh...Not greasy or over cooked. Also, the man working was extremely kind and personable. We will be returning!

Ugh. I really hate to leave a negative review since I love supporting local businesses, but I'm hoping this will help the owners improve things. I recently visited with half of my fam. We stopped in for some quick nibbles before making the next stop on the kid express. Lol. We ordered chicken pad Thai, steamed pork dumplings and a tofu soup. This was not our first visit. It was probably our third, and we've now had enough samplings to come to the conclusion that the cook just isn't very good. On this visit the pad Thai lacked flavor, and the dumpling shells were so thick

Do not waste your money. I threw my food away as it was disgusting. If you want to lose weight eating Chinese food eat here........so gross you can't even try to eat!

This place has great food. I'm also picky about what I eat.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

What's most notable about this horrible place is that they don't even respond to the negative reviews -- and, there are many of them.

Windham deserves better than this excuse for Chinese food!! UGH!!!

We ordered about $50 worth of food here and it was really not a good experience. I think I understand why they call it "gourmet", as it is different from standard chinese restaurants in a lot of ways. The whole time I was eating it I kept thinking it was like someone took a chinese cooking course and then opened a restaurant. It seems they learned how to cook everything, but did not learn about meats, sauces, or how to add little extras to a dish (scallions, scrambled egg, onion, cabbage, etc.) to really make a dish pop.

Something really terrible has happened at Li's. Tonight we bought a take-out order that was, in a word, awful. The food took nearly 40 minutes to prepare. More concerning was the fact that each dish basically tasted the same; an admirable feat but probably not one a restaurant would want to claim!

We also ordered hot & sour soup that was, well, just awful. I ordered curry chicken that had all the right stuff except for the lack of curry. But, who's counting?

I could go on but you get the point. Li's has sadly lost their mojo. But, what do you expect for a Windham, NH, restaurant

Live nearby - visit relatively frequently. This is a clean and smooth operation. They do not skimp and the food is cooked perfectly and have never had a bad order! Inexpensive despite the freshness. Not really a place to eat at it is strictly a couple tables and most people take home to enjoy. Highly recommend.

Foods overall ok but nothing really stands out as amazing must have compared to other places i have been.

The staff is very friendly and the food always tastes delicious! The prices are reasonable. There are several Chinese restaurants in the area but this is our go to.

Terrible food. Everything has no flavor. They skimp on the crab rangoons. Half teaspoon of cream cheese in the things.

Best Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is very flavorful but not too salty or oily. The salt and pepper shrimp is really good. I also like the General Tso's Chicken and the eggrolls!

Very, very average. This is a place definitely oriented toward take-out business only, and you'll find a menu full of the expected Americanized Chinese fare with not much in the way of anything special or memorable. It's OK for what it is, but there are definitely better options in Salem or Derry. Unfortunately, nothing else in Windham.

I'm always happy with Li's. The family is always very polite and the food is prompt. It is a little on the pricey side...but the food is good and when I want to get something quick and be home this is a definite place I will go.

Below par for even a neighborhood Chinese takeout with rather low expectations. As a family, we tried several "traditional Chinese" items, such as kung pao chicken, as well as typical "Chinese American" item such as chicken wings. We were disappointed with all of them with the taste, flavor and texture.

I mean, it is Americanized Chinese takeout, so you have to take "gourmet" with a grain of salt. Also, if you were expecting china town authenticity then go to china town!

The fact that this place is mostly for takeout is pretty obvious, they have a few tables but they don't even have serving dishes. If you eat in you still get styrofoam takeout boxes.

I tried Li's, and it is not good and definitely not Gourmet. I ordered General Tso's Chicken and unfortunately what I got was deep fried dough, with very, very little chicken, covered with sauce that wasn't good either. The pork fried rice wasn't made recently.

There may be some dishes that are better than what I ordered, but I could not order from there again.

I have had Li's food a handful of times and it is usually a shot in the dark on quality. Got some chicken wings & pork fried rice last night and the wings looked like they were from a starved chicken. The rice was alright. To be honest I used to travel further for my Chinese food and only buy at Li's because it is closer. I guess it's time to start driving further again.

Another thing does every business but a couple think that they can gouge Windham residents with there prices. Way more food and actually better for the $$$ at China Star in Salem.

They offer the traditional Chinese dishes, plenty of sushi & sashimi options, and 23 Chinese Combination Platters ($5.38-$5.98 for lunch, $7.18-$7.98 for dinner). The prices here are low to moderate for the Chinese food ($5-$15 range) and moderate to high for the sushi bar entrees ($18-$60*(sushi for 2) range).
