Caroline is the best person to go to for catered Korean food. She is so professional and kind. The food and service provided is excellent and we are so grateful at how accommodating they were at our difficult venue. Everyone loved the food and we cannot recommend them enough. We are extremely happy we chose Shin Mi Catering and hope to hire them again in the future!

Shin Mi catered such an incredible wedding dinner for us & our friends and family. We heard all throughout the night how much people enjoyed the food, and my family could not stop talking for several days afterwards about how the dinner choices were much more interesting and better tasting than the usual blasé options served at weddings. I even have friends who could not stop raving about the appetizers as well. Overall, the quality and flavor of everything

If you're planning a large event or wedding, Shin Mi Catering should be your pick! We booked Shin Mi Catering for our wedding and everyone was saying how much they enjoyed the food. So many people got seconds because of how delicious the food was!
Caroline was also very accommodating to all the guest's dietary restrictions. Allowing for vegetarian alternatives as well. Overall, I would say Caroline and the team were so very kind and professional. I thoroughly enjoyed our experience booking with Shin Mi Catering. This review is long overdue but I gotta give credit where credit is due.
First off, I was scrambling to find a caterer last minute for my wedding back in May 2021. I was fortunate enough to come across Shin Mi Catering through Yelp and took a leap of faith to hire them for my wedding two months prior despite not scheduling a food tasting.
I am so unbelievably grateful for Caroline. She made this process extremely seamless and was amazing at responding to my emails to answer all my questions in a prompt manner. Due to COVID, she was super flexible and willing to help accommodate catering for

I just called Shin Mi to cater yet another event for our family and realized I'd never left the glowing review they deserve when they catered our intimate backyard wedding a couple of years ago. If you're looking for a caterer, you've found them!!
The food is so, so good and our family and friends couldn't stop commenting on how much they loved (loved!) it. Not only that, the volume of food was incredible and we still had a surplus for guests to take home and to enjoy for ourselves the next day. :)

Thanks to Shinmi Catering and it's staff. I had a wonderful family celebration for my mother's 90th birthday. Although I originally planned a banquet for 50 people which I had to cancel due to Covid situation here in LA, this turned out to be the best celebration ever. The owner ( chef and her mother) was very courteous and professional.. The food was great and portion was enough to feed 20 (I had it for 10 people). All the utensils and paper plates and even dessert plates were provided. Shikhay was bomb!. My family loved all the dishes. All we did was buying some cake and fruits

My friend recommended Shin Mi Catering to us for our son's 100 day celebration. Getting in touch was easy and very responsive. Ordering was easy and simple.
They delivered as scheduled and the food was delicious. As a non korean for Koreans to comment how delicious the food was at the party, that made me very proud. Haha. Even the older korean aunts and uncles of my husband's all asked where the food was from as they loved it. So, we will definitely be ordering from them again!

I called up Shin Mi with just a few days notice and they put together a fabulous buffet to cater a large family brunch for 40. Saved my life! So glad I didn't attempt this on my own, as I would not have prepared enough food. They provided huge quantities, and the food was so good that everyone wanted to take leftovers home, so we didn't have anything remaining. Would not hesitate to use them again.

My grandma turned 88 last month, and my mom threw a birthday party for her and about 40 of her grandma friends (there was one grandpa in there too). She hired Shin Mi Catering to bring food and table settings and help serve a buffet lunch. They did an excellent job. We all enjoyed the food, and my mom was pleased with the customer service.

Shin Mi catered our wedding in November. We were so happy with their service. We had so many comments on how good the food was! Also, their setup was so beautiful. Service and communication was great, and we felt like they wanted to help make our special day perfect.

We have worked with them in the past for a business event and the food was definitely a hit. Today we used Shin Mi for a Korean Jesa which is a traditional Korean memorial service. We ordered the fixed menu for 12 people but Caroline also let us add on an order of the gulbi gui (grilled fish) which is usually a staple plated on the jesa table. We used Shin Mi Catering when we hosted a large reception for approximately 300 people. I couldn't be happier with the way Maggie and the team organized our event, showed up on time and accommodated our folks. The food was excellent, they made great menu suggestions to us and would be more than happy to recommend to anyone planning to host future parties.

Overall very pleased with the food that was prepared for our Nurses Week office lunch. Ordering was simple as there pickup menu has a variety of offerings that made for an extravagant lunch by middle of the day office standards. Sent an email and then later talked with Caroline two days before the lunch. She gave me the exact price at that time. Currently $24 per person + tax for a total of $262 for the ten people. I knew in advance that this would feed more and it was definitely enough for our office of 13 with left overs. Gave her a pick up time and the food was ready when I arrived.

I cant begin you tell you how AMAAAZING working with caroline and all of shin mi catering has been.
We met with other vendors and caterers-- even korean! But we just clicked here.
Both my husband and i are korean, our families also being very traditional. With that said, having authentic korean food was almost our first priority hahaha.
We went in for a tasting and the moment the food cam out i knew this was it. It literally tasted like my own mother made the food. With her bare hands.

We used Shin Mi Catering for our wedding and we don't regret it one bit! We had a guest count of 400 and to make it more difficult we had our wedding in a warehouse where there was absolutely no kitchen necessities available for them... It was probably a nightmare for any caterer but they handled it so professionally and solved any problems that may have come up!
