Bill and a partner opened St. Matthews Jewelers during the early 1980s in the Wallace Center, but moved to its present location in 1988.

My mother gifted a Christmas necklace to my wife, made of glass or perhaps Bakelite. The wire holding the doves and holly leave had deteriorated so much that the necklace was falling apart. Prior to St. Matthews I went to 4 jewelers [not to be identified] and each told me they could not/would not do anything. After Googling for restringing. I found St. Mathews. What a find! they did it in style and quickly. Now the memory of m mother graces my wife's neck. Excellent, friendly work!

We’ve had a such a great experience at St. Matthew’s Jewelers with Bobby. We purchased my engagement ring and both wedding bands from them and have had amazing customer service. All cleanings for the rings have been free of cost. Our re-sizing of one of our wedding bands was also such an easy process with the employees here. We will definitely purchase again from St. Matthew’s Jewelers!

I always receive fast and professional service at St. Matthews Jewelers. Great place to have your Jewelry cleaned or repaired or to get a replacement watch battery. I've also purchased diamond earrings as a gift for my wife here and definitely paid far less than what some other Jewelers were charging for similar quality.

The service is not that great. The last time I was in this store to get a watch battery, I had inquired about adding links back onto my 14K Gold watch band and one of the Sales Associates remarked that the watch on my arm could NOT possibly be 14K gold. I told her it was and she argued with me in front of other customers that it was NOT and even asked where I purchased it. I told her from a jeweler in NYC. She was so insisted that it was not gold and told me I was mistaken. She knew I was very upset by then so she offered to have it tested; it came back as 14 K gold. She was so rude. NO apology
