Our mission is to provide timely and compassionate care and services for pets, and resources for owners, to enhance the health of your animals and the experience of pet ownership.

After hours emergency service for small animals is provided by the Animal Emergency Center in Watsontown. Call (570) 742-7400 if your pet(s) has an emergency after hours or holidays. They are not available everyday, but have a list of vet hospitals that can be used in emergencies.

About Us Report

Dr. Hocker was born and raised in the Montoursville Area. He grew up on his family's farm outside of Montoursville, and graduated from Montoursville High School. After graduating from Penn State University in Animal Science, he went on to get his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

Resources Report

They are not available everyday, but have a list of vet hospitals that can be used in emergencies. At Montoursville Veterinary Hospital, we listen to address the concerns of our clients. Lately, there has been controversy about the safety of Seresto collars. We purchase our collars directly from Elanco, and have not had any major problems with them.

Doc is very caring and he has treated my 10 year old Karma since birth.

Very pleased with the service they provided to my cat under emergency conditions. The staff was very courteous and efficient. Was in and out in no time. Prices very reasonable. Will be taking my cat back for future visits :)

I've been taking my cat here for the last 16 years. I'll never go see anyone but Dr Hocker. He is very knowledgeable and has a way of calming both my nerves and my furry friends.

Excellent!!! Handled my kitty with the greatest of care. She was hurt and we couldn't get into any other vet and they managed to see us and take wonderful care of her. I will definitely take Buddy back. Definitely recommend.

My dog injured his foot and required urgent care. Another vet hospital in the area said they couldn't help because they were understaffed. Montoursville Veterinary Hospital allowed us to bring him in right away, took good care of him, and gave us frequent updates on his condition.

We have been going to Dr. Hocker since I was a teenager. He has always gone above and beyond for my family and our pets. Last night we had to say goodbye to our beloved Piper. It was so comforting to do it in a place that was familiar to us and the staff was as kind and compassionate as could be. As always, I know that by going there I am getting the same care and love from them as we give our pets at home.
