Inlet Inn
Inlet Inn offers a quiet, comfortable respite-hotel privacy with bed and breakfast amenities, charm, and service. Whether you are planning to walk the paths of infamous 18th-century pirates, or just dreaming of a relaxed waterfront porch getaway, Inlet Inn is your home port. For over three decades Inlet Inn has been the top hotel choice of many repeat guests, who've found it to be the perfect place to create their own memorable experiences.

Inlet Inn is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Beaufort NC, directly on Front Street with a fully unobstructed view of Taylors Creek & Carrot Island. We have 36 large, comfortable rooms, many with their own private waterfront porch and rocking chairs. Inlet Inn offers plenty of space to spread out after traveling and a gateway to historic Beaufort NC and the spectacular waterways and natural locales of the Crystal Coast.
Services
The original Inlet Inn was built in the 1850s by the owners of a dry goods store in Beaufort. It began as a private residence known as the Lowenberg House and was renowned for having one of the "best views on the east coast." Sold in the early 1900s to the Morris family, the original structure was used as a Summer home and was known as the Morris House until Carrie Dill Norcom operated it as a boarding house named "Norcom House."
Offering the best views in Beaufort, sit on a spacious porch balcony and take in all the town has to offer. Overlooking Taylor's Creek, you'll be delighted by the occasional dolphin or wild horse sighting. Our Seaglass theme decorates these suites and provides a relaxing space for a getaway or the launchpad for the next great adventure.
Our Guests have been delighted again and again with bouquets designed by this magical shop on the corner of Live Oak and Ann Street. We love working with its owner, Jennifer, and surprising Guests with her beautifully crafted arrangements. Whether it's an anniversary or just because, Beaufort In Bloom will use its magic to mark the occasion.
Ask any Beaufort Local and they'll tell you that Clawson's is your best bet for a great lunch or dinner on the Beaufort Waterfront. Good lunch prices, the best appetizers in town, incredible seafood dinner specials, and the great service will make you a Clawson's guest for life. Located directly on Front St., the Historic Clawson's building is a Beaufort landmark.
Directly across Front St. from the Inlet Inn is where all the tour companies are located. Simply walk across the street & you can take a ferry to Shackleford Banks, go on a Dolphin Watch, board a catamaran & sail the Cape Lookout Lighthouse, take an after dark stroll through the Historic District with the Beaufort Ghost Walk, go Parasailing, go Fishing, or just take a relaxing Harbor Tour.

This is a really great place to stay that gives you a great water view of the boats coming in. Walking distance to all of downtown Beaufort with great places to eat and shop. Rooms are comfortable and plenty of parking.

What a wonderful place to stay. Welcoming and friendly. Our room was so cozy! Nothing better then as hot shower with wonderful smelling soaps and lotions. Great restaurants in walking distance. We were there under sad times. But I want to go back for a long weekend and really enjoy.

Bed very comfortable. Large room. COVID controls effectively implemented so very smooth check in. Staff friendly and located right on Front St so easy walk to restaurants and shops. Breakfast better than expected (warm bagel, muffin and oatmeal delivered to room with coffee). Building is aging but it is cared for. Would stay here again. Farmers market on Saturday was a bonus to visit.

Great location, Southern charm, not usual cookie cutter hotel. Wonderful & helpful staff. Worth returning, Room 200 is separate from all other rooms (+). It's above laundry / housekeeping, so humidifier is used in the room (-).

We booked a waterfront room and it was fabulous --bright, airy, great furnishings. The couch was more comfy than my home! ! We really appreciated the ceramic coffee mugs, Starbucks coffee, glass wine glasses, soft bedding/towels and comfy mattress, quality shampoo and lotions, fabulous room service breakfast (no extra charge). The third floor balcony was great for sunset over the water. Loved every minute of our stay.

Excellent hotel in Beaufort!! Super friendly staff, easy check in and they had wonderful suggestions for dinner.

Our room was not waterfront, my fault for not paying better attention on making the Expedia reservation. That river view would have made the experience all the better. Location is easy walking distance to "main" street.

Our room was spacious and nicely appointed, every thing fresh and clean. Mattress offered a sound night's sleep. We really liked the house shampoo and bath soap - available for purchase ( a tad on the pricey side, but the stuff is excellent).

Definitely

An amazing, quaint little inn that really delivers on little extras. Terrific location, right by the dock and restaurants. The continental breakfast is brought right to your door and the coffee was stellar. Also had wonderful Covid protocols that our family really appreciated. The room was super clean and just beautiful!

Very nice rooms that are large and nicely decorated. It is really more like a luxury home than a hotel, and having a balcony overlooking the waterfrontis pretty sweet.

This is a very nice hotel and likely the best place to stay in Beaufort.

Then why was the bed "made" but the room as I described! I stand by my review and do not appreciate being called a lair!

Stayed here first night of our motorcycle trip to Myrtle Beach. We had taken the Hatteras and Ocracoke ferries, so we were pretty tired by the time we arrived. The check-in lady was so nice, even offering restaurant recommendations.
Our room was HUGE! With a very large back porch that faced the side street. The room had a sofa, table and chairs, desk, and mini fridge.
If I had to complain, it would be about limited space to put things. The bathroom sink is a pedestal, so no room to put your toiletries. The surfaces in the bedroom are covered with books, lamps, decorations, etc. So there

My fiancé and I LOVE it here. Quaint, clean, and charming, with friendly staff and impressive rooms. It's right next to the waterfront, and just a short walk away from local shops and restaurants. No matter when you stay here or what room you get, you'll love it. Breakfast here is just bagels and muffins, but it kind of adds to the quaintness, I suppose.

Stayed 3 nights. Not too bad but the view and location did offset some of the less desirable things. Bed was uncomfortable, no continental before 7:30 am. Asked for late checkout and they approved 12 noon. There was some sort of communication mishap ( by the Inn) and we were told that was not approved and we had to check out 11:00. (It was already 11:15). Not pleased at all that a miscommunication on their part resulted in a hurried exit. There was no attempt to make things right. Won't be going back.

This was Our 3rd stay at the Inlet Inn. If we didn't love it, there would not have been a 2nd visit. We stayed on the 2nd floor on all 3 stays. The view is Beautiful! Yes, we saw the Wild Horses on Shackleford Banks from our Balcony...which we basically stayed on the whole time. Our room, I will call it a Suite...was awesome! The staff is friendly and attentive, but not overly which is good. Restaurants are awesome! You have to try the Pizza at Queen Anne's Revenge. The BEST pizza ever !The one Restaurant that we missed on this trip was Old Salt. I sure hope they re open before Our next

Full disclosure, I've wanted to stay here for years. The location can't be beat, directly across from the marina & Shackelford Banks, walking "distance" to all of Beaufort. (I use the term "distance" lightly, as all of downtown Beaufort fits in 4 blocks.) Rates are reasonable for the location & amenities, Rooms are spacious! We stayed on the 2nd floor with amazing balcony views of the marina and the Shackelford ponies (yes! We saw ponies from the balcony!) There is a mini fridge/ freezer in the room. They brought breakfast (warm muffins, bagels, coffee, OJ

We have stayed in Beaufort before and enjoyed the stay at another hotel. We tried the Inlet Inn for the one night. When we checked in the young man at the desk was nice but did not greet us other than name and here is your key. ( customer service is lacking.) He looked as if he did not care to be working at the hotel or just bored) He was nice but did not provide any information about the breakfast being offered in the morning. The lobby is small with some information about the area. The room was on the first floor. The room was in need of updating and the dehumidifier was full when we checked

We stayed at this hotel in January. It is a very quiet locals only feel this time of year. There are no boat tours or hunted tours, but if you just want to relax, enjoy the peacefulness of it all, this is the time of year to visit.
The hotel is cheap this time of year, the room we stayed in was a 2nd floor not ocean view. The room itself and the deck was huge, as was the king size bed. It is actually like a bedroom and a living room combined. There is the bed, then a a couch, fold out table, coffee table etc. OJ, muffins, bagels are served to your room in the morning. It is centrally located to

We weren't here for long - just a single night while passing through, but it was delightful. Comfy beds, A/C that keeps up with the August humidity, and spacious rooms.

This place is right in the heart of the canal area, lots of restaurants and bars within close walking distance (we went to the Queen Anne's Revenge pizzeria and bar, which was quite nice). There's also a delightful walking ghost tour that leaves from right outside the lobby. Lots of pirate, Civil War, and Revolutionary era stories about people who lived and died there - bring cash to tip your guide, because he&apos

We stayed there Friday and Saturday nights the weekend between Christmas and New Years; there were a lot of people in town and I think the place was fairly well filled up. We found the service to be fine.

We had a room on the second floor overlooking the water and loved it. Large, well furnished, attractive. The bed verged on the hard side but was ok. I'm grading it below a five because the internet was sporadic and the breakfast is high carb which is of no value to me.

We almost left without visiting the lounge, 309. You can have the breakfast there (or have it delivered to your room

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!

We went for Beaufort's Annual Pirate Invasion weekend and had the best seat in the house! Room 201 is known as THE BEST ROOM for viewing the invasion! We were on a waiting list for the hotel and lucky us, some pirate must have given up the room so he could go back to pillaging and plundering through the town....AARRGGHH!! I still cannot believe how lucky we were. I actually asked as we were checking out to reserve it for next year and it's already reserved!! :(

This being the first time we stayed here, we were excited because the Inn is set on Front street

The staff was helpful, from the first phone call. The room was very clean. We were on the 3rd floor, and had a window seat that overlooked the waterfront of Beaufort. Other rooms have balconies or patios. The rates were very reasonable.
We stayed here on Halloween night, and took our 2 boys out trick-or-treating in the neighborhood near the Inn. We felt very safe, and had a really good time.
We recommend the Inlet Inn, and would stay there again.
