Oceanview Inn

Nice clean rooms, great staff. Little older motel, but for access to the beach, and the Bouge Inlet Pier. Would highly recommend it for a family. 1st time staying here but we will definitely be coming back in the spring.

A real hidden gem stayed in the renovation side of this property and for the money it was a fantastic value a very short walk to the beach dining and entertainment would highly recommend will definitely be back!

I wasn’t expecting much when we went. Reading previous views and knowing it was an older beach motel. I was surprised though. It was my husband & I and our 2 kids for a long weekend. It was your average hotel room. 2 beds, tv, bathroom, etc. it was cleaner then I was expecting. (I brought Lysol wipes in case but never used them). Floor was nice. No carpet. When you ran shower water there was an odor but your in a beach motel sometimes that happens. For the price we were happy with it. Would stay again except we like Beach Front.

This was one of the worst hotels I've seen. Their website has staged photos that don't represent what you'll actually get. The website doesn't have any photos of the exterior, and for good reason--you wouldn't book it if you saw where you'd be staying. The ceiling in our bathroom had a lot of mold. Our room was infested with flies. The hotel exterior was ghetto. Staff shortages limited daily housekeeping to just the delivery of towels.

I spent the entire weekend apologizing to my girlfriend.

It was clean and comfortable. All of the staff was welcoming and friendly.
It was a quick walk to a beautiful and quiet beach. I am ready to go back.

The past reviews had me skeptical but once arriving an seeing the new wing. I am very happy with our choice to stay here. Updated rooms clean an prompt service. Hidden little gem. Perfect for my birthday weekend

We had never been to Emerald Island NC. We went to celebrate our 36 years of marriage. We paid over four hundred dollars at the Ocean View Inn for two nights. What a horror house it was! The policy does not give money back for dissatisfaction. Now we see why. Problems: Door hinges were completely rusted, front inside door was filthy, with bottom front door inch high high inviting bugs. Front door inside covered in dirt and stains, wall next to bed covered again with dirt, handprints, gross! Shower curtain rod was rusty and moldy, toilet was loose at the base and moving when sitting, hole inside

Most peaceful night of undisturbed rest. Staff is always friendly. The room is so neat and clean. Love this place and it's ocean view. I'm going to visit again soon.

Naturally, I thought I would be able to see the ocean from my room. I can, but just barely. They are not on the beach.

This is a straight forward motel. The mattresses are new and comfortable. The place is clean. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. The office staff is pleasant. The air conditioner/ heater works fine. The housekeeping staff does a good job and is responsive to my needs.

The bath/shower is slippery and there are no grab bars. The sink is too low. The exhaust fan in the bathroom makes a horrible grinding noise. Maybe its the best they can do, but the selection of tv channels

We have stayed there twice in the past year. We were so satisfied & happy with room & customer service! Very nice, helpful, friendly staff...I was really so surprised of how clean our room was ( knowing that it is an older motel). We had a fabulous time & so many places are just walking distance. We will definitely be returning real soon! Thanks Ocean View Inn for the hospitality & a great room!!

A nice clean room with friendly and efficient staff, wonderfully comfy bed, mini refrigerator & microwave. The beach & pier and many wonderful restaurants nearby within walking distance. An amazing deal for the money.

I worked here for a while and was trained by the Manager to clean the rooms. First of all, you all think these rooms are so clean but what you don't know is they only give you 30 minutes to clean a room and 15 minutes for people that are staying over another night. Maids are told, not to clean the sheets, pillow cases, towels unless they have an odor or visible stains,.but to wipe everything down with a rag that goes into a toilet ,sinks , counter tops and yes even in your microwave.. The rooms always stink. I quit after a while of feeling horrible with how this manager that owns the motel

We have been staying at the Oceanview Inn for several years when we go to Bogue Inlet Pier for some fall fishing. After staying there this year in October 2015 we will never go back! We have overlooked the fact that the motel is old and worn....it was always clean in past years. However, this year it was not! The first room we were given smelled HORRIBLE and was disgustingly filthy! We requested another room...which we got without a problem. This room did not smell as bad...however, the carpet was dirty, the bed was old and uncomfortable, the sofa was so stained I wouldn't even put my

It is friendly and close to the ocean - the rooms aren't in the best repair so keep looking if a little visible age bothers you (old, not dirty).

This place was good for what it was. Clean. Relatively inexpensive, and very near the beach and pier. You wouldn't want to spend much time in the hotel, nothing to do there, but we didn't come to stay in.

Located directly in front of Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier, this motel sits just 500 feet from the beach. To access the beach, you simply walk across the parking lot, and there is a pedestrian walk-way right next to the pier for public beach access. This establishment is all about location, location, location!

There are actually two seperate buildings that constitute "Oceanview Inn". The two-story structure was built in the early 1970's and it certainly appears aged from the outside as a few other people have mentioned. However, the rooms have been updated with modern, albeit no-frills

My boy and I stayed here over a weekend. It was a terrific place for a cheap getaway. Cute clean rooms, good shower pressure, and best of all walking distance to the beach, a great pier, shopping, ice cream and restaurants. Looks like it's family owned and operated, which I love to support even more!

Pretty dodgy dive hotel. Perfectly adequate in a pinch, but stay way clear of the smoking rooms - they are like death chambers.
