I liked the way it made my head think. Or not think. Vulnerability is encouraged and the space safe to reveal it. Might just make ya cry.

I cannot overstate how bad my experience was.
1. The instructor spent ten minutes emotionally blackmailing people to sit closer to each other, justifying this in terms of the spirit of yoga, without acknowledging that was perfectly aligned with their business model. The instructor also spent five minutes justifying this exhortation with some completely dull anecdote from her time in New York, it was boring and irrelevant.
2. They crammed far too many people into the studio, it was very uncomfortable... but cramming is aligned with their business model.
3. The first ten minutes was spent chanting

For the record, yes, they still do a lot of chanting and sing alongs which, depending how you feel about a white lady leading a group prayer to Krishna and Ganesh, may not be your cup of tea and does take up a good 15-20 minutes of the class.

It is hot, but not super uncomfortable with leggings. You will sweat.

It is a very popular class on a Saturday morning and we felt lucky we found a spot to squeeze in. Most people are not masked, but vaccines are required.

Uncomfortable, unsafe, and grossly gentrified.
1) the class had >30 attendees but did not require masks, which is against San Francisco City guidelines even when checking vaccination status.
2) the doors to the building were locked so no one could leave during class and the front desk was unattended when I tried to leave (the two attendees were having a coffee break down the street)
3) the random appropriation of Hindu culture without any context for students was seriously inappropriate. A description on the class description would have been the least this studio could offer.

So the studio is actually very beautiful, and Julie Locke and Stephanie Snyder are great teachers. And there is even a single shower in the men's room and lockers to change.

Alas, I almost passed out in the room. It was unbelievably crowded and warm, and the person next to me had to put their foot on my mat when they did a pose - not the greatest sanitation anytime. Certainly not super safe with the stay at home order just over and variants still out there.

I'd be very surprised if the number of people allowed in complied with the fire code.

When I left the studio, the exit door

I've been practicing at Love Story since they've opened. They offer bhakti vinyasana practice classes in an infared heated studio. The classes are challenging and spiritually uplifting. All the teachers use music. Some of the teachers incorporate chanting into the class.
During SIP they've offered stream classes and beach yoga. I appreciate the versatile approach to yoga practice.

I attended Lovestory for 2 weeks during a yoga teacher training with Jason Crandell and I really love the area as well as the owner Laurel who takes great care of the place.
The regular classes have good mix of challenging power Vinyasa and more gentle flowing Bhakti styles and the teachers are renowned for being the best in SF. Would definitely recommend 🙏

My favorite place to practice when I am in the city! And they have lots of online options during COVID. Love Story is a community, with excellent teachers who have heart and soul. To me it feels like they really care about both yoga and it's students. There are so many options in the Bay Area, but this studio stands out and does a great job of providing offerings that will support people in the current world climate. Love love love Love Story!

The quality of teachers & studio is unmatched in the 15 years I've been practicing yoga. It was an amazing studio to practice in before COVID but their responsiveness in quickly changing to online classes post COVID has been lifesaver.

The space is open and clean and the location is located near BART.
While the studio is open to all, it lacks in diversity, which is something which is lacking for studios beyond Love Story. While the price point is on-par for other studios in the area, it unfortunately does not allow it to be (monetarily) accessible for many, further promoting the homogenous nature of many studios.

Two other teachers I hadn't mentioned before but have grown to love:

Nacera Mekki - Teaches Kundalini and Vinyasa Flow. Helpful teacher with an efficient but inspiring flow practice. Recently have been attending more of her classes as I find it to be the best pace for me. More hands on with instruction and adjustment than most, which I appreciate.

Susannah Freedman - Teaches Vinyasa flow. Passionate and powerful practice. Tuesdays often inspired by Hanuman. Always a well rounded flow.

I come to this studio a lot and like it. I've been practicing yoga for ~10 years -- first with Jason Crandell at Yoga Loft on Divis, which I think no longer exists, then at a bunch of studios all over the country as I moved around. Since moving back to SF, this is one of my preferred yoga studios. I like that they offer a variety of classes, and also that they're sorta woo-woo. If you're not into that, this probably isn't the studio for you.

That said, I had a weird customer service experience with them. I purchased a 5-class pack from their website, and noticed that in my

The love is palpable. Laurel and the crew are super friendly and the classes are great. I've been to a lot of yoga studios in the area, but what really sets this place apart is the community. I've learned a lot about the yoga sutras from being in the space and it's cool to take those concepts and practice them outside of the studio too. I'd definitely recommend checking out Love Story Yoga. Pro tip: bring a water bottle, a fresh pair of clothes, and a friend.

Came here out of the blue. One of the instructors I take at the gym, Jessica, had some swag from here. Good heat, good instructors, lockers down stairs for your stuff. Will come back.

Place is a bit crowded and chaotic if that bothers you.

Even though I'm secretly practicing yoga to become a better assassin with jiu-jitsu, I still feel the love at every class here. Highly recommended if you're already into yoga or looking to get started.

Tried this place out through class pass on a Sunday and it was great! Some things to note:

- this is hot yoga the room is heated
- there is a good amount of chanting and talking throughout the practice so if that's not your thing then skip this place
- the room is very spacious but gets FULL you should be comfortable with having your neighbors less than arms length away.
- parking is TERRIBLE. But what do you expect in the mission. It took me 25 mins of driving around on a Sunday morning at 11AM to finally find a spot.
- learn from me and take the Bart since it's a short wall away from

My friend recommended we come here for a yoga class when I visited her in SF. It was my first hot yoga class as well. We got to class about 10 minutes early and the studio was PACKED. I already dislike packed yoga classes to begin with, I find that some people don't understand the concept of stacking and being cognizant of your mat neighbors. My friend told me it's usually not that packed, the instructor we had was also the founder of the studio (I think?).

Well, we squeezed our mats in for the 90 minute class. I did like the flow itself, except the girl in front of me almost kicked

Why so much hate??
(disclaimer) I always start checking out with the lowest rate reviews.

There is my impression, starting with a bad news; you are not going to feel the air. The fans are on but it just circulate the warm air around. Plus I wear contact lenses and the fan always makes my eyes super dry. Not a "fan!"

This was my first visit and first time with Jason. He seems to be a good teachers (popular!) and friendly but I like my teacher mean and preferably over 65 years old. Jason taught workshop-like class. Nowadays, it is not too common for yoga class to even have a targeted

Can't recommend this place enough. Amazing teachers, new, spacious yoga studio with an entire floor dedicated to showers and lockers that make it easy to incorporate a practice anytime of the day. The vinyasa classes offered are lightly heated which for me allow two things: accessing the depth of each pose & the release of toxins. Try the new student special. Namaste.

Love Story Yoga is an epic experience that everyone is talking about and I suspect it is on its way to becoming a landmark in the history of San Francisco culture. This landmark is all about personal healing, health, spirituality and community. Stephanie Snyder's twenty years of devoted service to the yoga community is palpable at Love Story.
The love and dedication in this business shows in every detail and personal interaction. Doing two teacher trainings here has deeply and profoundly changed my life for the better.

Stephanie's yoga is transformational. Be prepared to sweat next to 100+ yogis, but you get a good workout and also a clear and peaceful mind. I love its healing effect combined with physical strength. Equipped with shower and nice interior. Next to 16th BART and can grab coffee or dirty chai at Stanza afterwards.

Stephanie is amazing and she created an amazing space.

It's refreshing to have a studio with consistently good teachers, a spacious bathroom with showers and a strong community of students. Few studios can pull off "the whole package". I also get emails often with special deals and prices which I DEFINITELY appreciate and I don't understand why more studios aren't better about this.

Disclaimer: These two stars are not directed any personnel but the business.

I can't give a positive review to this place. It's essentially bro-yoga/faux-yoga. If your idea of yoga is to get into an overheated room and do some warrior poses mixed together with some random Ashtanga yoga poses and call it Vinyasa yoga, then this place is great! The price does not command the quality of the yoga class ($195 for 10 classes)

Beyond the bad yoga classes, what I found disgraceful is that this place is just crass commercialization and it comes across as an example of gentrification studios

I can't help but to add to the lovely sentiments that this yoga haven is manifesting. Clearly, anyone can see that this space was born from a lot of heart. My fellow yelpers know that I'll be a yogi forever :) And I'm always so blessed to spread the word on positive yogic experiences across this amazing city and beyond.

Love Story Yoga is San Francisco's newest flagship yoga studio, and probably holds upwards of 100+ students. It is the brainchild of Stephanie Snyder and company, and it's everything that a yoga studio should be

Had a really disappointing experience here. I've never walked out of a yoga class in SF before, but after only 30 minutes of this, I couldn't take it any longer.

1 - Check in was fine, but studio was upstairs, bathrooms in basement, men's bathroom has zero paper towels.

2 - I forgot my water, and asked if they had any to purchase. Was handed a warm boxed water for $3. First off, why no refrigerator?? Second, boxed water..

3 - Expected an upbeat all levels class, as it said in the description of the teacher profile. But, it was a sub teacher.

3.5 - Studio wasn't very
