Milan Yoga
Growing up in India, yoga and meditation were introduced to me at an early age, however, I truly began practicing yoga at university when my friends and I woke up at 5:30AM to squeeze in a yoga class before sunrise. We sweat a lot and laughed incessantly at our incredible lack of balance. Over time my playfulness evolved into a passion.

I was introduced to Ashtanga yoga when I moved back to San Francisco in 2015. I met my teacher, Christina Martini, owner and founder of Shala Santosha Ashtanga Yoga, and fell in love with the intimacy of her practice. Under Christina's diligent tutelage, I grew immensely, both physically and emotionally.

This is a really good, intimate class for people who want to push themselves in their practice. I've taken a bunch of classes here and there but I've always been too shy to really try any of the "tougher" poses. Milan is super sweet, knows what she's doing, and will help you push yourself to do those inversions and give you the space/guidance you need to actually get there. Small classes, great vibe.

Milan yoga is the perfect combination of playfulness and physical challenge. The candlelit room paired with Milan's positive attitude makes for an amazing experience!

All levels of yoga are welcome. The classes are on the smaller side, but this allows for a more personalized experience. I started as a beginner but am now able to do inversions and other balance poses that have always been a huge struggle for me.
Milan pushes you in the right way, and even though it's an intense workout you will leave feeling 10 times lighter and more accomplished!

Excellent class for anyone interested in taking their yoga practice to the next level. Milan is a great instructor who brings a lot of compassion to her work and her classes are relatively small which allows for personalized instruction and assistance along the way. Her class is challenging, mostly following the Ashtanga tradition (be ready for some fun work with inversions!), but her positivity and personalized care make for an empowering experience. I always come away feeling like I've really pushed myself and I'm already seeing improvements in my practice (more quickly than I have

Milan yoga is a unique combination of relaxed atmosphere paired with a flow that will challenge you and help you expand your practice. This class first introduced me to inversions like head stands and cool strength based position like crow pose. The instructor makes sure to walk you through everything in steps so you aren't too far out of your comfort zone. I was never able to touch my toes but after taking he class for about a month I finally did it. Strongly recommend checking out this class as its a little different from most of the classes I have done which keeps it fun. Also there is

Milan is a wonderful yoga instructor! Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, talented and extremely helpful are just a few adjectives I'd use to describe my yoga experience with Milan. I noticed in my class with Milan that she catered to both new-yogites (like myself) and more experienced practitioners. Milan somehow effectively balances both veterans and newcomers such that everyone walked away feeling rejuvenated and grounded. I very much enjoyed my class.
