A native of London, England, I relocated to the Bay Area in 2006. Using body-work in my own life and my background as a actor and many trips to Thailand, Bali and India is where my passion for bodywork began. So I started a journey to cultivate a body of knowledge. I undertook a two year Master Bodyworker program here in San Francisco.

In January, I had ACL reconstructive surgery and mensicus repair from a ski accident. I was unable to walk independently or leave my house alone safely for over two months after surgery. I am so grateful to find Visceral Physical Therapy, who was able to provide me with in-home PT service for the last three months. Joey Jackson, the owner of Visceral PT, was the most important factor in my rehabilitation. He is professional yet personable, provided thorough education about my knee/body function and recovery process, and helped me achieve confidence in reaching full recovery. I had full trust in

Joey was my physical therapist post-ACL reconstruction surgery. I worked with him for about 7 months and I would highly recommend his physical therapy services. He was knowledgeable about my case, knew when to push me during recovery, and kept me focused on both my long and short term goals. I had surgery in late March and was skiing again in late December.

Joey was great to have as a PT - not only to treat and work on a specific injury, but also his ability to think broader and consider root causes that could contribute to the issue(s) and come up with a game plan to address the acute issue while also positioning to prevent in the future - especially to someone who refuses to accept one is "maturing"! Pleasure to work with! Thanks Joey!

Joey is a gifted physical therapist and very personable. He is patient about explaining anatomy, rehab plan, and long term adjustments to prevent re-injury. He describes exercises clearly and changes up the routine enough to keep each session engaging. He also has a solid referral network. Highly recommend.

Joey has changed my life, and I am so grateful. I discovered last year that I (visually - based on images) had a pretty serious herniated disc in my lumbar sacral spine. My pain was not great, but not as bad some of the experiences that I've heard about from others. I am in my 30s and pretty active (running, climbing, golfing, swimming, hiking, etc). I've heard mixed reviews about having surgery, especially at a relatively young age, and so my preference is to work on ways to allow my body to hopefully heal itself.

Joey is an amazing and helpful physical therapist. I could barely walk I was in so much back pain when I first saw Joey and my rehabilitation was miraculous. I had been suffering with back pain for over 20 years and after two spinal surgeries I had almost given up hope of ever being out of pain.
Joey was the first person who actually helped me to alleviate pain and to learn how to work around it and through it. I cannot recommend Joey highly enough. He is truly a miracle worker.

Joey is an amazing PT! He was the second PT I worked with on my ACL rehab. He was the perfect balance of pushing me and helping me test my limits as I got ready to return to sport but also was quick to let me know when I needed to take a step back. Joey has amazing attention to detail and really cares for his clients. He listen to you and helps you better understand your whole body and how it functions. I would recommend Joey to anyone who seeking a PT who cares and will push you when you need it!
