I recently move to Athens from another state and took a chance and picked a St Mary’s Dr.
I had hurt my back moving and was in a lot of pain. The Dr didn’t believe me and walked out in the middle of the appointment! He did renew a couple of prescriptions I had asked for and modified one without talking to me about it.
I called his office twice and did not get a return call. Finally his nurse called 2 days later to tell me I would have to go to a pain clinic.
I was better then being in bed for those two days and didn’t need anything for pain by then!
I called to change drs but again did

My husband was in sever pain. We were in the waiting room for 3 hours. He was climbing up the back of the wheelchair in severe pain. When we finally got back into the ER they discovered that his appendix had burst while we were waiting to be seen he was rushed into emergency surgery and stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks. The poison had spread throughout his intestines and entire stomach and abdominal cavity. He almost died thanks to going to St Mary's I'll never visit that place again for anything.

This was the absolute worst care I’ve ever seen. Went in for COVID symptoms and left with nausea medicine and that’s it. They didn’t check blood pressure once, didn’t even use stethoscope, if you want better care for yourself I would suggest urgent care or a dog as your doctor, both would be better. I wouldn’t go there again even if I was dying, they would probably give me some headache medicine for it. Also popped a blood vessel when was given fluids.left the hospital with the same pain and sickness that was arrived with.

I injured my knee and went to the ER. I went to an urgent care first and they told me nothing was wrong but Saint Mary’s re-x-rayed my knee saw that it was broken. They gave me a pill for my pain right there and set me up with a leg brace and crutches which my insurance covered for free. I am legally blind and the staff was very accommodating to my disability. I would sincerely recommend visiting this place. Everyone I interacted with was kind, courteous, and respectful.

The people at the door are a joke. They make the whole hospital look bad. How are you going to tell someone to go find daycare for their teenager and reschedule their appointment when you just need to go to the office past the lobby. Not even into the hospital where the patients are! Fully masked teenager! Drive over an hour home find a DAYCARE AND RESCHEDULE! I don't get funds to pay for a few hours of unnecessary daycare! Lord Bless those people. The nice nurse came to meet me almost at the door to give me what I needed because the lady wouldn't let me in. I'm thankful for that nurse with common
